Retro Zelda Magazine Scans
Remember the golden age of videogame magazines in the 90's and early 2000's? The selection of gaming magazines on the shelves seemed pretty endless back then; all crammed with the latest previews, reviews, tips and secrets for your favourite games. As one of the more popular gaming franchises of all time The Legend of Zelda had no shortage of juicy retro coverage across loads of different magazines worldwide.
It was inevitable though with the rise in the popularity and accessibility of the internet that this time would one day come to an end as more and more people switched to getting their videogame news, reviews, previews, guides, tips and secrets via the internet instead; firstly because it was free, and secondly because a magazine could never print the latest news and ship it to your local store as quickly as a website could do a news post. So sadly the vast majority of these classic gaming magazines are lost to history.
However I intend to do what I can to change that with this section which will be dedicated to retro magazine scans of all things The Legend of Zelda. I've got hold of lots of old gaming magazines from the 90's and 2000's from all around the world and will be releasing 'new' old coverage every Friday so stay tuned.
Magazines featured will include Nintendo Power, N-Force, 64 Extreme, Planet GB, Advance Magazine, Super Play and many more. It also goes without saying that I won't publish anything here that hasn't been out of print for at least 5 years - saying that most of these magazines have been out of print for more than a decade anyway!
