Legend of Zelda: Overworld Puzzles
By Zelda Hunter

In the very first Zelda game, you are faced with two troublesome areas. They are called Overworld Puzzles because of the challenge.

Now, before you do some of this, you might want to do something before hand. I’ll tell you below.

Lost Woods
Before going here, you might as well get this out of the way. Somewhere in a cave resides Impa. Talk to her and she’ll say something similar to, “North, West, South, West.” This is the way to level 6.

Now, go to the Lost Woods. If I remember correctly, it is: North, East x5, South. Follow Impa’s directions and go North. (That means after going South, you go back up.) West, South, then West again. A chime will notify you that you have passed the Lost Woods.

Lost Hills
In level 4, an old man says, “Walk into the waterfall.” This is the way to level 5, so get ready beforehand.

Well, after beating the level, go north from the starting point and when you can’t go any further, you should see a river by a long stairs. You’re supposed to be on the right side of the river. Just go east until you find the waterfall. As the man said, walk right into it. Impa will give you directions, “Go up, up the mountain ahead.” Exit, and go east. If you find some stairs, go up them. But if you notice, going up results in the same area. Just go up 4 times, and level 5 is in sight.
