Aquamentus
|
|
Aquamentus is the first boss encountered in The Legend of Zelda, as well as
a miniboss in later dungeons. Combating Aquamentus is relatively easy, even in
the early stages. Simply stand back to avoid the three fireballs it launches, then
quickly run up and hit him with your sword. (Alternatively, you can plant a bomb
at his feet, provided you’ve found them by this point.) Your bow can also be used.

Dodongo
|
|
Dodongo is the second boss encountered in The Legend of Zelda, as well
as a miniboss in later dungeons. In order to to kill it, one simply needs to
plant a bomb near it in hopes that the monster will eat said bomb. It takes
only two bombs to vanquish it. If that sounds too dangerous, simply lay a bomb
near it. Upon the bomb’s detonation, run up and hit the beast with your sword.
Keep in mind that they come in groups when encountered in later stages.

Manhandla
|
|
Manhandla is the boss of the third dungeon in The Legend of Zelda, as well
as a miniboss in later stages. In order to fight this carnivorous plant, lay
a bomb in its path. If timed right, the explosion will destroy one or more heads.
If you’re really lucky, a single bomb will end it for good. Also note that
the heads shoot fireballs at all times, and everytime a head is destroyed, its
movement becomes more sparadic and swift.

Gleeok
|
|
Gleeok is the fourth boss encountered in The Legend of Zelda, and is a
minoboss in later stages. Gleeok takes on the appearance of a multi-headed
dragon, and the only way to kill it is to kill the heads. To do this, dodge
the fireballs they spew and hit them with your sword. When a head “dies,” it
detatches from the main body and encircles you while lobbing fireballs. Continue
to dodge them while you focus on the other head. Once you kill it, Gleeok will
be down for the count. In later stages, he has four heads instead of two.

Digdogger
|
|
Digdogger appears as the fifth boss in The Legend of Zelda, and is a
miniboss in later stages. Digdogger is encased in an impenetrable shell, so
your top priority is to get that out of the way. To do that, you’ll need the
Magic Flute. Simply play the flute and the monster’s armor will fall off.
Hit him repeatedly with your sword until it dies.

|
Gohma
|
|
Gohma is the sixth boss in The Legend of Zelda, and is a miniboss
in later stages. Ghoma is essentially a large crab, similar to a Tektite,
but much larger. During the battle, its eye is closed and it scurries
back and forth while lobbing fireballs. Dodge these and wait until it
opens its eye. When it does, fire as many arrows as you can. Repeat this
strategy until you kill it. In later appearances, it is blue instead
of red and takes more abuse before going down.

Ganon
|
|
Ganon is the final boss in The Legend of Zelda, and is undoubtedly one
of the most iconic villains in all of video games. He is invisible most of the
time, so the only way to fight him is to stand in one place and swing your
sword with wild abandon. Eventually, you’ll land a hit. Continue doing this
until he reveals himself. Shoot him with a Silver Arrow and watch him explode
into a pile of 8-bit gibs. Congratulations! You’ve beaten the game!
