Guardian SwordGuardian ShieldGuardian AxeAncient BladesawGuardian Spear

Ancient Short Sword: Can be purchased at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. It is similar in appearance to its guardian counter parts which is why I listed it in this section of the guide. However, it deals more damage and is more durable than its sister weapons. It will cost around 1,000 Rupees to buy though as well as several ancient parts. Finally, you will need this weapon to complete the Weapon Connoisseur side-quest. At a base and without any RNG ( randomly generated ) perks it deals 40 damage which is pretty powerful for a one handed blade.

 ::::: LORE :::::

The blade of this sword was made using an ancient power lost to this modern age. Its blade appears only when drawn, and its cutting power surpasses metal swords.

Guardian Sword++: This weapon can be acquired off of the drone guardian enemies in some of the games many combat shrines. I found my latest one that was a MAX guardian sword dealing 40 damage. Don't mind the banner it says 20 that is an error. The guardian sword deals 40 attack damage and looks awesome. You can find one with lower damage earlier on in the game and that one is listed below. These are the ++ Max versions. You can acquire all 3 by completing the Major Test of Strength Trial south of Hateno Village. Go to the shrine on the lone island past Kass the bard Rito.

 ::::: LORE ::::: 229

The abilities of this Guardian sword have been boosted to the maximum, as evidenced by its increased size. It slices through armor like a hot knife through butter

Guardian Sword+ This weapon can be obtained in some shrines that are combat based against the drone guardians inside. Mainly a Modest Test of Strength shrine or other areas where there would be guardian drone enemies such as dungeons. You can find one of these at either Vah Ruta or Vah Nahboris Divine Beast dungeons. It deals 30 damage and has an very nice blue hue when being unsheathed.

 ::::: LORE ::::::

This Guardian sword has enhanced power over the standard model. Its cutting capabilities are improved, and its durability has seen a slight uptick.

Guardian Sword: This is the basic guardian sword which I believe you can buy for a price at Akkala Research Laboratory. You can also find these in Sheikah chest at certain shrines. Most importantly guardian drones found in shrines and in divine beast dungeons will wield these at times. They deal 20 damage and have a very appealing blue glow when unsheathed.

 :::::: LORE ::::::

A sword often wielded by Guardian Scouts. Its blue energy blade is a product of ancient technology. It's not very durable.

Ancient Shield:
This rare ancient shield can be acquired at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. However, you will not need ancient cores, but giant ancient cores for this item. Giant Ancient cores are rare and can be farmed off of guardians or found in some shrines and treasure chests in the game. The shield is awesome though as it can reflect guardian beams and people claim it is very similar to the Mirror Shield of the older Legend of Zelda titles.

 ::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::

his shield was made using ancient Sheikah technology. Its surface glows blue when raised in defense. Enhanced functionality allows it to deflect Guardian beams.

Guardian Shield++ The toughest of the Sheikah Guardian shields. This shield boast 42 shield power and can deflect the beams from guardian scouts. This shield is much larger than the guardian shield and it seems too resemble a paladin class tower shield. This and all the other guardian shields have the unique blue hue too them but are shaped and sized differently. They also all have different defensive statics as shown in the game and possibly durability.

 ::::::: LORE ::::::::

The output level of this shield has been boosted to maximum. Its combat capabilities surpass those of metallic shields, and it can deflect Guardian Scout beams.

Guardian Shield+ This shield can be found at modest test of strength shrines and mainly off of Guardian Scout drones. You may also purchase some at akkala tech lab.

 :::::::: LORE ::::::::::

The larger version of a Guardian shield has had its output level boosted. Its defensive capabilities are comparable to those of a metal shield's.

Guardian Shield: This shield can be found off of Guardian scouts inside shrines or inside the games four main dungeons. It has 3 tiers of excellence and this is the lowest tier. You can also purchase these at the Ancient Akkala Tech Lab for a price.

 ::::: LORE ::::::

A shield made with ancient Sheikah technology. It can deflect a Guardian Scout's beam.

Ancient Axe++: Link can acquire this weapon the same way and location as he acquires the guardian sword. They are both ++ and apparently offer max damage for guardians weapons as stated by in-game lore. The weapon does the whirlwind two-handed attack and packs 60 attack damage. Try saving it especially for later in the game when we can repair items.

 :::: LORE :::: 275

This ancient battle axe's damage output is scaled up to peak performance. Ancient technology makes it possible to enhance cutting power beyond metal weapons' limits.

Ancient Guardian Axe+ can be located at the modest test of strength shrines off the guardian drones inside. Muwo Jeem Shrine is one of these locations. It is right on the outskirts of the Hateno Village on the border of the East Necluda Region. The weapon at base deals 45 damage.

 ::::: LORE :::::

This ancient battle axe's damage output has been increased to maximum. It's sharp enough to cut through almost anything,so it may have been used to forge new routes.

Ancient Guardian Axe:
This item can be found off of the Guardians that are in the games 4 main dungeons. You may also find it as a reward in rare treasure chest and it can be purchased for a price at Akkala. It is a pretty good weapon and like all guardian/ancient weaponry is rather useful in battle. The weapon at base damage deals 30.

 ::::: LORE :::::

A weapon used by Guardian Scouts. Its unique blade was forged using ancient technology. Although powerful, its unusual shape causes it to break easily.

Ancient Bladesaw:
This is an unusual looking blade and it will take a few of the rare ancient cores to create as well as some rupees. You can craft it and use it as weaponry from the ancient akkala tech laboratory. It's blades rotate while Link has it equipped but it acts just like any other two handed blade. It has a high damage output at 55 though which is very nice. Plus you can repurchase it at anytime as long as you have the cores and rupees.

::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::

This two-handed sword was forged using ancient Sheikah technology. Its unique rotating blades give it impressive cutting power that will slice enemies to shreds.

Ancient Spear:
Link can purchase this weapon from the ancient akkala tech laboratory, once you reach akkala and complete the side-quest. The spear has a damage of 30 and is probably one of if not the best spear in the game. This is especially so because you can repurchase it at anytime for some rupees and materials.

 :::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

This spear is the result of countless hours of research into the ancient technology used by Guardians. The glowing spearhead has high piercing potential.

Guardian Spear++: This is the lowest max ++ guardian weapon in terms of pure damage. However the spear hits consecutively with great ease. This is especially true when Link uses a charge attack. Despite only have 20 attack power it is still a very good weapon in the right hands or those whole love the spear weapon class in Zelda Breath of the Wild. More to come enjoy and stay tuned daily for updates.

 ::::: LORE :::::: 315

This Guardian's spear's output has been boosted to the maximum. The spearhead is designed for optimal stabbing, capable of easily piercing most armor.

Guardian Spear+ This is the mid level guardian spear and can be found off of Guardian scout enemies. These enemies are mainly found in the modest test of strength shrines. Remember that you can fight these enemies again after they respawn with a fresh blood moon. Furthermore you can possibly farm this off drone type guardians in the games 4 main dungeons.

 :::::: LORE :::::::

The tip of this Guardian spear has been enlarged and strengthened. It's a bit shorter than your average spear, perhaps to facilitate use in tight spaces.

Guardian Spear: The lowest tier of the guardian spear can be found in minor test of strength shrines off the guardian drones inside.

 ::::::: LORE ::::::::

Wielded by Guardian Scouts, this spear has a high piercing power and is a testament to the Sheikah's high level of technology. the spearhead appears only when brandished.

Ancient Bow
Ancient Bow:
This is probably one of the best or at least most useful bows in the game. It can be hard to acquire as you will need at least 1,000 rupees and a few ancient parts. Most importantly you will need not an ancient core, but a giant ancient core to create the bow at the Akkala Tech Lab. You will also have to complete Robbie's Research Sidequest. The good news is that you can keep creating these bows as much or as often as you would like. The bad news is ancient cores can be hard to come by, as they are probably the rarest drop you can get off of a guardian or scout guardian type enemy.

The bow stands out among other bows because it can shoot much farther than any other bow in the game. This also is too note that it shoots further with much better accuracy and still packs a bit of a punch at 44 damage. The weapon is exceptionally useful with ancient arrows as Link can one shot a guardian in the blue eye core from a huge distance away and probably not take much damage.

The weapon would be used ideally with at least a diamond circlet if you like the cosmetics on that item over the Ancient Armor Set. Both of these equipment pieces will increase your defense against Guardian enemies. However, to get the set and the circlet you will need to farm guardians often and go to Gerudo for the circlet. At level star two you can receive a set bonus for the awesome looking ancient armor set. If you can rank it all the way up to the maximum you are looking at an uber/godly way to farm guardians. Unfortunately once you have reached maximum stats Guardians become somewhat pointless to farm. Well at least you can enjoying literally destroying them with ease!

 :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This bow is the result of Robbie's research. Ancient Sheikah technology allows it heightened functionality, Arrows fired from it travel in a perfectly straight line.

FlamebladeGreat FlamebladeFlameSpear

Flameblade:
This weapon can be acquired inside a cave all the way at the source of the Hylia River. If you pass the twin bridges and get a hint from the Misko the Bandit's Treasure side-quest it should be easy to find in the West Nucluda Region. There are also 5 other treasure chest in the area. The sword however, is behind a second bombable wall. I love this weapon as it is a great surprise and reminds me of Castlevania weapons a bit only better because its Zelda style!

There is a second location for this weapon, but it may drop off of an enemy. I have not checked if it respawns just yet so bear with me. If the player heads to the Eldin Great Skeleton in the Death Mountain region of the game. There will be a group of enemies, defeat them and you should get this sword. Note, there is also a great flameblade that is a guaranteed respawn so if you found that one, keep looking it may be here as well.

This weapon has a nice base damage and can ignite things on fire. If you fight ChuChu enemies they will drop red ChuChu jelly when defeated even if they were a blue Chuchu. You can also start a campfire with this weapon and not only does it look awesome but the fire it leaves in it's wake does too. Finally, the weapons fire has a visible charge that you can see directly on the sword it is really awesome I suggest everyone acquire this weapon as soon as you can. On a final note I would like to mention how interesting the charge function is on the weapon. Nintendo took it to the next level, not only does it shoot flames but we can actually see the charge on the sword. What more, it actually affects the strength of the flames!

 ::::: LORE:::::

This magical sword was forged in the lava of Death Mountain. It leaves white-hot flames in its wake when the blade glows red.

Great Flameblade:
This weapon will respawn at the Eldin Great Skeleton. It is quite powerful at around 30 base damage. It will set enemies on fire when they are struck by it. This is particularly very useful against enemies susceptible to fire that are ice or cold based such as Icy Lizalfos. It may result in a one shot kill for enemies of this elemental type. The weapon is a two-handed sword and so has the whirlwind attack when the charge button is held down. It also will spawn in many chest in the game as well as various shrines as a sheikah treasure chest reward.

 ::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::

This magic-infused greatsword was forged in the fires of Death Mountain by Goron smiths in an ancient age. Attack when the blade glows red to expel flames.

Flame Spear:
This is a pretty powerful fire spear with the same great reach and 7-8 striking flurry attack as all spears. It can be found at the Korsh Ohu shrine. This a secret shrine quest that can be found on The Seven Heroines shrine quest ball puzzle. It can also be acquired in various other chests in the game and shrine area sheikah chests. The spear will set enemies on fire and can one shot kill many ice based elemental foes that you will encounter.

 :::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::

A magical spear forged in the magma of Death Mountain. Attack when the blade glows to expel powerful flames.

Frost BladeGreat Frost BladeFrost Spear

Frost Blade:
If you complete the sign of the shadow shrine quest and than the shrine that appears after it you can acquire this sword. It will be after a modest test of strength battle against a guardian drone. Once you defeat the drone you can acquire it's loot. The Sheikah Treasure chest above however holds this item inside. It can freeze and damage enemies at the same time.

Some notes on this weapon would be that it actually has a different freeze animation and possibly even active start-up time compared to the blizzard and ice rods. It for the obvious reasons can still cut down trees. Also, any enemy that is frozen seems to take some sort of triple damage if not more! Finally, freezing normal enemies is one of the most effective methods of one on one attacks in the game. They become completely immobile and can't attack as well as the huge damage bonus.

 :::: LORE ::::

A magical sword forged in the frigid mountains of the Hebra region. When the blade glows blue, enemies struck by it will become frozen.

Great Frostblade:
This is a rare blade that can be found in one of the games many shrines at least more than twice. You can also farm it in some treasure chests much later on in the game if you have completed the Four Divine Beasts main quest in it's entirety. The blade is a huge two-handed sword that can freeze enemies and has a base attack power of 30. It is quite a potent weapon so you may want to save it for particular situations.

 ::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

This magic-infused greatsword was forged by smelting ore found in the Hebra Mountains' permafrost. Attack when the blade glows blue to expel freezing air.

Frost Spear:
This is an icy spear that actually has a different animation than the blizzard rod. I expected the same but the amount of work put in by my life Nintendo is bar none. This one deals around 20 damage and can be found at the Jitan Sa'mi shrine in one of the Sheikah treasure chest. It also has a respawn location and when I get to it I will post that here. The range of this weapon is what is so great and despite the low damage is made up for in a bit extra durability.

 ::::: LORE :::::

A magical spear forged from ancient ice taken from the Hebra Mountains. Attack when the blade glows blue to chill the air and freeze your foe.

Thunder BladeGreat Thunder BladeThunder Spear

Thunderblade:
Along with the flame blade this is one of my favorites. It is pure amazing looking and can electrify enemies as well as certain objects. It looks stunning graphically and is the best looking sword and sword animation in the game thus far to me of course. You can find this one at the shrine near the main Gerudo Town. The shrine can be tough so see our shrine guide below. The name of the shrine is The Whole Picture. It is inside the Sheikah Treasure chest that may be required to complete the Shrine so regardless if you complete the shrine you will most likely end up with this weapon. Finally, it deals 22 damage and can electrify targets.

 :::: LORE ::::

A magical sword forged and refined by lightning from the Hyrule Hills. When the blade shines with a golden light, it will electrocute enemies struck by it.

Great Thunderblade:
This is the much larger two-handed whirlwind variation of the thunderblade. These are not very common, but they do spawn in some shrines as well as possibly in one or two static locations throughout the world of Hyrule.

 :::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::

This magic-infused greatsword was forged by the Hyrulean royal family using lightning from the Hyrule Hills. Attack when the blade glows golden to expel lightning.

Thunderspear:
You can find one of these thunder spears if you search one of the more difficult shrines in the Tabantha Region. Kah Okeo should have one of these, but it will also spawn and appear sometimes in treasure chests depending upon how far you have progressed with the main storyline of the game. The weapon is pretty powerful and can have increased damage later on. It will stun the enemy with electricity with every single strike from the thunderspear.

 :::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::

A magical spear that contains thunder from Thundra Plateau in its tip. Attack when the blade glows with a golden light to unleash an electrical attack.

Dragonbone Boko BatDragonbone Boko ClubDragonbone Boko SpearDragonbone Moblin ClubDragonbone Moblin Spear

Dragonbone Boko Bat:
Along with several other cool looking Dragonbone items, this two-handed version packs quite a whirl-winding punch! You will find these more abundantly after completing your first or second dungeon from the Divine Beast main questline. Dealing 36 damage with each strike this is the second most powerful of all the dragonbone weapons.

 ::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::

Used by only the toughest Bokoblin warriors, this Boko bat has been fortified by fossilized bone. It boasts a high durability and is strong enough to beat down powerful foes.

Dragonbone Boko Club:
This is my favorite version of all the dragonbone weapons. I just like it's one handed grace and style. It looks artistically attractive as well. It also packs quite a good bit of damage at 24 damage. Being a one handed weapon I also find it to be the most potent. One handed weapons can be used with a shield at all times and 24 damage makes this one of the more superior weapons in the game if I don't say so myself.

 ::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::

This Bokoblin club has been reinforced with fossilized bones to maximize clobbering potential. Only the brawniest of Bokoblins can manage its immense weight.

Dragonbone Boko Spear:
This weapon states that it actually bites at the enemy with each attack. This is half true as when a bokoblin uses the item it does snap at Link for sure! When Link uses it though, it just acts like a normal spear. It also has pretty low damage. Once again though all spears have great range so it can be accustomed for. A decent weapon if you don't have much else to work with in battle.

 :::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::

This Boko spear has been strengthened with fossilized bones. The bones are positioned outward so the fangs bite at the opponent. Beware Bokoblins carrying this weapon.

Dragonbone Moblin Club:
This is the largest and overall most powerful Dragonbone weapon of the five in the game. It is pretty awesome and can be farmed after the first one or two dungeons are complete. It may be more rare a bit later on afterward so be sure to acquire and use them while you can. This weapon deals a huge 45 damage, but it is a rather slow two-handed weapon with the basic whirlwind secondary attack.

 :::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::

The bone of an ancient beast has been affixed to this Moblin club, further increasing its damage. Moblins carrying these in battle are particularly dangerous.

Dragonbone Moblin Spear:
This is a pretty long and big weapon that Moblins will carry around often in the game. It deals 15 damage and has a huge range when attacking. The durability is pretty basic, but remember you can get a Dragonbone weapon attack up possibly when the Two Star radiant set is complete and in use. This also effects other bone weaponry like lizalfos arms. You may actually be able to have a fun build with those ideas in mind for a little while.

 :::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::

This spear is a fan favorite among Moblins. The spearhead is made from fossilized bones adorned with spikes, which greatly increases its stabbing power.

Forest Dweller BowForest Dweller SpearForest Dweller SwordForest Dweller Shield
Forest Dweller Bow:
I have two good locations that may work for the Forest Dweller bows. Note that statistics on the item may increase or it may be a different item depending on your current game progress. The first one is located at Kincean Island, which is south east of the Lanayru Wetlands on the world map's text. This is in the Lanayru Region, west of it's tower. There will be a small bombable cave on the island. Inside will be the forest dwellers bow.

The next bow is a 5-shot 15x5 Forest Dweller's bow that I found inside a treasure chest north of the Zora River. This location is also in the Lanayru Region, west of Zora's Domain. This bow is really good but I found it after beating 3-4 of the divine beasts with plenty of enemies killed as well as playtime. The weapon at base deals 15x3 damage. This means it deals 15 damage with each hit, but it fires 3 arrows for the price of one. This weapon can shoot a maximum of five arrows at once for 15 damage.

 :::::::: LORE ::::::::

The Koroks made this bow for Hylians. It's crafted from flexible wood and uses sturdy vines for the bowstring. Its construction may be simple, but it fires multiple arrows at once.

Forest Dweller Spear:
Some people say that this weapon is rather uncommon. However, I have found plenty of them even later on in the game. If you are an avid treasure chest hunter and shrine finder, you really should come across several of this type of weapon. At base they deal 11 damage and have a 35 durability rating. They can be set a flame just like a torch so be careful when in very hot regions, such as the Goron Volcano Death Mountain.

 :::::::::: LORE :::::::::

The Koroks made this spear for Hylians. The shaft is made from a light, sturdy wood, offering ease of use. The spearhead is made from a much harder wood, offering strength.

Forest Dweller Sword:
This weapon is slightly rarer than the previous spear from my experience. However, I still have come across plenty in treasure chests as well as sheikah treasure chest inside the games 120 current shrines. You may want to hold onto this one and the shield, possibly even the spear at your house in Hateno village or save them in your inventory. That is of course only if you are a collector. The weapon has 22 base attack damage and 27 durability. Being wood it can burn very easily.

 ::::::::: LORE ::::::::

Koroks made this sword for Hylians. It's made of wood, so it isn't the best choice for head-on attacks. Its original intent was likely clearing vines to forge paths through forests.

Forest Dweller Shield:
This shield is the rarest of the Korok weapon set. I have only come across 2-3 of these and I honestly can't remember where other than the one given to Link at one of the Korok trials. If you are a collector be sure to hold onto it at your house or equipment inventory. Be doubly careful not to take this shield out for too long in hot areas, such as death mountain it will burn. It can also burn in several other ways from enemies that for example shoot fire arrows. The shields parrying power is 30 at base.

 :::::::: LORE ::::::::

The Koroks made this shield specifically for Hylians. It's made from the finest hard wood of trees that grow only in the Korok forest, so it's sturdier than it looks.

Knights ShieldKnights BowKnights BroadswordKnights ClaymoreKnights Halberd

Knights Shield:
These can be found as loot drops off of Moblin enemies in the Gerudo Desert. The also have more static locations throughout the game and I will list them as the guide grows. For now it is a pretty solid shield but it is made of heavy metal meaning lightning damage is a problem as well as lightning storms. Don't equip it if you are stuck in a lightning storm. It offers nice defense at 22 and is rather durable.

 ::::: LORE ::::: 358

A shield favored by the knights who served the Hyrulean royal family. Its sturdy metal construction makes it quite durable, but its weight requires decent skill to wield.

Knights Bow:
This weapon can be found a bit later on in the game very commonly however, off of various enemies. Including Lizalfos, bokoblins, moblins and possibly more. The weapon also appears at the Vah Naboris dungeon in a chest and depending on the current progress in-game by the player may have a random modifier on it such as * Critical Hit *. The weapon deals 28 base damage and being common that is pretty good. You can one shot many if not all of the wildlife creatures in the game. It also matches really nice with the Hyrulean Soldiers Set being made for Hyrule warriors as stated in the games descriptive lore this would make sense.

 ::::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::::

The sturdy metal construction of this bow offers superior durability, while its lack of firing quirks makes it quite reliable. Once favored by the knights at Hyrule Castle.

Knights Broadsword:
A mid-level drop that can only be found very early in the game without upgraded statistics. There is an alternate place where it is guaranteed to drop, albeit a bit annoying or hard to acquire. Thanks to the gamefaqs.com forum and member Gallileo, I can list this location here in this guide. If you head to one of the corridors of the Hyrule Castle Dungeon, you may have encountered a few lizalfos enemies. One of them in particular, stays in one of the cells. This lizalfos has the Knight Broadsword and Knights shield on him. The weapon boast 26 power of attack and 27 durability rating. It is a mid-level weapon, however you can find increased stats through-out treasure chest in your travels.

 ::::::: LORE ::::::::

Knights of Hyrule once carried this sword. These days it's the weapon of choice for seasoned adventurers thanks to its ease of use and high attack power.

Knight's Claymore:
A very common and even late game common weapon drop. It can be useful but it has pretty low damage most of the time for a two-handed whirlwinding weapon. You can find this off of some enemies like moblins or possibly even lizalfos throughout there campsites in the game. The weapon has 38 attack power and 30 to durability.

 ::::::: LORE :::::::

Only the most confident of Hyrule Castle's knights carried this two-handed sword. Its cutting edge is finely honed.

Knight's Halberd:
A major step down from the amazing royal version of this weapon, but still has nice range and can be useful. They drop less often at higher levels of gameplay, but even with tons of enemies defeated and divine beast down, you can still acquire this one in tons of treasure chest and shrine sheikah treasure chests. It has 13 attack power and 40 to durability.

 ::::::: LORE :::::::

A spear used by knights adept in mounted combat. The spearhead is modeled after an axe.

Tree BranchWoodcutter AxeBoko ClubTravellers Sword

Tree branches can be found and farmed. You can find them right smack at the start of the game after exiting the Shrine of Ressurection. Pick up as many as you can at the start as they can also be used as a viable weapon. They have a low attack at only 2 but have various other uses and can help greatly in a pinch. If you wish to farm or find these head to any area with a lot of trees.You can find some in the Great Plateau at the start of the game simply laying on the ground. You can also farm some once you have a Woodcutter's Axe and cut down some trees with it, these will appear on occasion. They can also be ignited and Link may light campfires with them or set certain enemies ablaze as well. Be careful to not light Link on fire or even the surrounding area.

 ::::: LORE :::::

Wooden branches such as this are pretty common, but it's surprisingly well-balanced. It doesn't do much damage but can serve as a weapon in a pinch.

Woodcutter's Axe can be found right after first meeting the Old Man shortly down the road on a cutting log. Be sure to pick it up as it is rather awesome. Unlike the tree branch, this weapon does a Whirl Wind attack that you can control while holding the "Y" or attack button. It's awesome and I will be testing it out on Bokoblins and other enemies soon enough. The weapon also has basic attacks and jump attacks. Most importantly it is used to cut wood for campfires and should always be handy to have around.

 ::::: LORE ::::::

A woodcutter's choice for felling through trees. Its formidable weight and uneven balancing make it a slow, inefficient weapon.

Boko Clubs can be farmed off of many red Bokoblin and Stal Bokoblin enemies in the area of the Great Plateau and possibly much more. You can light these on fire for extra damage to even ignite enemies. It is great against Skeletal type enemies like Stal Bokoblin mainly due to its crushing power. It has 4 base damage and may break a bit easily but is common enough to see plenty of use in Breath of the Wild.

 ::::: LORE :::::

A crude Bokoblin club made to clobber small prey. It's essentially a stick, so its durability is low.

Traveler's Sword should be located north of the first tower near the Bokoblin camp inside a skull chest. These contents could be random and the game states this item is breakable. That leads me to believe there are plenty more of them in my opinion. It has an attack damage of 5 and has longer reach even with the spin attack than the boko club. It can cut through enemies and certain objects, however, can not be set on fire for extra fire damage.

This is an important note to those completing the side quest " The Weapon Connoisseur ". You can find a respawning Travler's Sword after every blood moon event. The location is simple enough in none other than Kakariko Village. It is laying on the ground near the smaller waterfall. Note the Lantern Lakes waterfall is not the one just to help you all find it a bit easier.

 ::::: LORE :::::

A very common sword often kept by travelers to fend off small beasts. It's fairly durable, but a bit unreliable against monsters.

Travellers ClaymoreRusty BroadswordFarmers PitchforkSoldiers BroadswordSpiked Boko ClubKorok Leaf

Traveler's Claymore can be found at the Ja Baji Shrine near the Eastern Abbey of the game. It has an attack power of 12 and is a two handed weapon. This means it has the same Whirlwind attack as the Woodcutter's ax except with more power a bit less durability.

 :::: LORE :::::

A basic two-handed sword often wielded by aspiring adventurers. Its immense weight can knock enemies' shields right out of their hands.

Rusty Broadsword can be located near the Shrine of Resurrection. You may notice a large body of water if you head towards the Temple of Time. There is a large rock in the middle of the body of water. If you climb to it you should see the sword standing in the rock. This is the Rusty Broadsword it has a power of 6 attack but can break as well. As a side note, there is a bombable pack of boulders near this area as well which will reveal some Opal.

 :::: LORE ::::

A rusty sword used ages ago by a skilled swordsman. It can do some damage in the right hands but also breaks quickly.

Farmer's Pitchfork can be located near the hay barrel at the Old Man's Cabin area southeast of the starting Shrine of Resurrection area. It has 7 attack damage and also says it is useful for gathering hay. However, I have not found hay gathering possible at the moment.

 ::::: LORE ::::::

A farming tool used to collect hay efficiently. It's light enough to be used by anyone. The four prongs are very sharp.

Soldier's Broadsword should be able to be found once you head to the snowy mountain area of the Great Plateau. Make your way to the Shrine near the River of the Dead. You will pass some Ice or White Chuchu's along the way. The Chuchu's killed me my first try through so be careful and keep your distance, they have a nasty leap attack that can freeze Link.Once you pass them you should see a Bokoblin camp. The Green Bokoblin leader will be wielding this sword. Be sure to focus attacks on him first as his sword is very powerful. Once he is down quickly pick up the blade. The blade was said to be used by soldiers of Hyrule and is pretty durable it also has a huge 14 attack rating. This is the highest I have seen thus far. You should save this weapon for the Stone Talus boss near Hopper Pond. See bestiary section on bosses for more information.

 :::: LORE :::::

A sword brandished by the soldiers who once protected Hyrule Castle. Its durable blade is well tuned for slaying monsters.

Spiked Boko Club weapons can be farmed off of many red and green Bokoblin's in the Great Plateau Region of the game. They are less common than the basic Boko Club and some other Bokoblin type weaponry. The Spiked Boko Club deals more damage and has better durability than most Bokoblin weaponry. It will deal 12 damage and attacks like many other one-handed weapons in the game. The charge attack is the spin attack.

 :::: LORE :::::

A reinforced Bokoblin club made to maximize damage. The sharpened bones jabbed into it make it a brutal weapon.

Korok Leaf weapons can be farmed if you cut down trees at times with the Woodcutter's Axe. They are also sometimes found be destroying trees with other methods. Finally, they may be found just laying around wooded areas or forest in the game. The weapon deals very low damage but it's quite useful. Firstly it blows out a huge gust of wind that can push enemies back just like the Deku Leaf in the Wind Waker.

It is a very nice effect and if you are good with the controls even better. If you use the leaf then quickly change to Bow and arrows you can pummel your foe with a nice critical headshot. The leaf should probably not be used as a weapon as it only has 1 attack damage. However, you can set it on fire to burn things and even extinguish fires among several other uses. It's a cool item I like to keep one handy at all times.

 ::::: LORE :::::

A single swing of this giant, sturdy leaf can create a gust of wind strong enough to blow away light objects.

BoomerangLizal BoomerangLizal Forked BoomerangLizal Tri BoomerangGiant BoomerangLizalfos ArmMoblin Arm

The First Boomerang that I acquired is called Boomerang! You can find it if you check our skull chest section at #7. Read on if you want to explanation here. You can find this one on your way to the Dueling stables on the left side of the river at a Bokoblin campsite. Defeat the bokoblins than open the chest. The weapon has a base attack damage of 8. However it is quite an interesting weapon. It apparently can still break but when thrown it will return to Link. The coolest thing is it does this even if it hits enemies. What makes it amazingly fun is that you must catch it with the appropriate button at the right time. This makes it more skillful to use in my opinion and just overall more entertaining.

 :::: LORE ::::

This throwing weapon was originally used by the forest-dwelling Koroks. Its unique shape allows it to return after being thrown.

Lizal Boomerang: This item has currently come in three formations. This was oddly the last one that I acquired. The damage is around 10-12 on this one. It drops mainly off Lizalfos enemies and more so after you complete one of the 4 dungeons in the game. Remember that boomerangs deal double damage when thrown and return to Link if you can catch one.

 :::: LORE ::::

A curved sword favored by the Lizalfos. It can be used to attack directly or can be thrown like a boomerang.

Lizal Forked Boomerang: This item packs a little more punch than the previous one. I also found it to be more abundant that the latter. However, I took on Vah Naboris or the Gerudo area before any other of the divine beast so that may matter. Regardless this weapon drops mainly off Lizalfos including Electric Lizalfos. You can find some of them all over the Gerudo Desert and in various area swampy areas of Necluda.

 :::: LORE :::::

Blue Lizalfos in particular like this weapon. It has one more blade than the Lizal boomerang to give it additional cutting power, and it still returns when thrown.

Lizal Tri Boomerang: I apologize for the Lizal boomerang damage representations. They are in-correct on the banners. I am working on changing them at least here in text for everyone so don't go by the damage here as cannon. The tri boomerang is the most powerful Lizal boomerang at least that I have come across. It drops off Lizalfos and is more abundant after complete one of the games four dungeons.

 :::::: LORE :::::::

More blades means more attack power! It can be used as a boomerang,but all those blades makes that a bit more dangerous. Carried by Black Lizalfos seasoned in battle.

Giant Boomerang:
This boomerang is pretty rare as I have only found it in one of the games 120 shrines once. There may be a respawn location I am not aware of. The item may also appear at other shrines in the game, however I have explored at least 90% of the treasure chests in all the 75 shrines I have completed. The only Giant boomerang I found was at the Speed of Light or the Sheh Rata Shrine. The weapon has a base damage of 25 attack power and is rather awesome. Hold onto this one as long as you can as it seems to be pretty rare.

I later found this boomerang off of a Hinox after completing the games main four dungeons. I did some research and thanks to Zeldadungeon.net it appears that several Hinox boss enemy types will drop this as a reward later on in the game. Get farming as these are pretty good because 25 attack damage base is doubled when thrown. On top of that you can get higher damage bonuses as well as other perks later on in the game on this weapon.

 ::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::

This massive boomerang requires two hands. Originally used for hunting, it was modified for use as a weapon. The blades on the inner curves make it a bit tricky to wield.

Lizalfos Arm:
 ::::::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::::::::

The arm of a Stalizalfos that continues to struggle even in death. It can be used as a weapon, but it's very brittle. You can feel it wiggling when you strap it to your back...

Moblin Arm:
The last of the main contents boomerangs is the Moblin Arm. This can be farmed off of Stalmoblins and breaks very easily. It's attack power is 15 and will deal 30 damage when thrown with direct hits that can effect multiple enemies at once. Stalmoblins usually appear in many areas of the game at night, this should be quite easy to farm. Remember that while wearing the Radiant Armor Set in completion Link will gain a bonus of up to 80% attack power increase with bone type weaponry. This item is considered to be bone class weaponry.

 ::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::

A Moblin bone that continues to move even after being detached from its body. The bone is thick enough to be used as a weapon but is extremely brittle and easily broken.

Iron SledgehammerRusty ClaymoreRusty HalberdSoup LadleVicious SickleFlameblade
Iron Sledgehammer is a nice two-handed weapon with the very cool whirlwind attack. It is similar to the woodcutter's axe in that respect. However, the weapon can crush skeletal type enemies easier due to its blunt damage. It is also more suitable for combat and has a great downward attack. It deals 12 damage and can be found inside the Owa Daim shrine. It is not in a chest but sitting on the left wall towards the final ball puzzle of the trial.

This weapon is also common throughout almost every region in Hyrule. It is excellent to mine ore as the ore goes down in one hit. It might actually always be wise to carry one of these around with you at all times. Additionally, the 12 damage is low but when farming ore you really shouldn't run into too much trouble unless you decide to take on packs of baddies.

 ::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::

This large iron sledgehammer was originally used for mining, but it works reasonably well as a weapon too.

Rusty Claymore two-handed swords can be found all over the Outpost Ruins east and west areas. However, I ran into my first one near the brother and sister crew of treasure hunters in the West Necluda Region. This weapon has an attack power of 12 is two-handed and can break rather easily.

 :::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

A two-handed sword not properly cared for. Although it can be used as a weapon, its durability is very low. Don't expect it to last for more than a few strikes.

Rusty Halberd spear type weapons can be found all over the Outpost Ruins east and west. I also ran into one laying down at a nearby Bokoblin camp in that area. It has low attack power at either 4 or 6 but has a good throwing mechanic like all spears. However, this spear does not do the additional damage the throwing spear does or travels as far.

 :::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

A rusty polearm likely used by knights from an age past. The spearhead is in bad shape due to prolonged exposure to the elements, so its durability is low.

The Soup Ladle can probably be found off several Bokoblins near campsites with cooking pots. However, I found mine in the West Necluda Region. Most specifically at the bokoblin camp towards the edge of the region map near the Outpost Ruins. It deals low damage but can serve useful when out of other arms.

 ::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::

A kitchen implement often used for serving delicious soups. It was carved from the wood of a sturdy tree, so it actually packs quite the wallop.

Vicious Sickles can be found off the deadly and cool Yiga Clan enemies that seem to pop up at occassional spots on the map. I got mine near Scout's Hill. There is a broken down cart in the area and you should run into a woman. She will tell Link a little bit about a clan dedicated to killing the hero of the legends. That is when she will turn into an uber cool ninja and try and kill Link. This Clan Yiga memeber in particular is not that tough, however I would be careful and use a stronger weapon vs her. More information to come on Clan Yiga in the Bestiary section of this guide stay tuned daily for updates. The Sickle acts like a sword type weapon with shorter range but it has 16 attack power and still can break.

 :::::::: LORE :::::::::::

A grim weapon favored by the Yiga. The half-moon shape of the blade allows for the rapid delivery of fatal wounds and serves as a symbol of their terror. Its durability is low.

The Flame Blade can be acquired inside a cave all the way at the source of the Hylia River.

This weapon has a nice 24 base damage and can ignite things on fire.

 ::::: LORE:::::

This magical sword was forged in the lava of Death Mountain. It leaves white-hot flames in its wake when the blade glows red.

Zora SwordBokoblin ArmTorchWooden Mop

Zora Sword: This sword was first found for me in a Sheikah Treasure chest inside the Three Boxes Shrine. The shrine is located behind a path which is behind a waterfall near Phalian Highlands. It is also north of Robred Dropoff. It may be more common later however this is a good static location for it. The damage is 15 attack power and it has a higher durability rating than most other weapons from testing in-game by myself.

 :::::::::: LORE :::::::::::

The ornamentation that adorns this blade is a traditional Zora design. It's forged from a very durable and rust-proof metal.

Bokoblin Arm: This weapon may be one of the most common in the game. It has incredibly low durability but serves useful in a pinch. It also has a cool animation but only 5 attack power. You can get these easily all over the game at nighttime from Stal Bokoblin enemies.

 :::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

A skeletal arm that keeps moving even after it's severed from its body. It's kind of gross to strap it to your back, but it'll do in a pinch. It's old and fragile, so it's quick to break.

Torch:
This is one of the most useful items in the game. It works obviously like the Lamp or Lantern from some previous zelda games. It can also deal very low damage at 2 attack power. You can melt ice with this item as well as light other sconces for light or fire and solve various and many puzzles. Torches are pretty common and have tons and tons of respawn locations. They also appear very often in many treasure chests in the game including sheikah shrine treasure chests. You should always have at least one handy at all times. As a side bonus the flame and blue flame look beautiful on the torch and they are just fun to carry around in dark places or nighttime, weather permitted.

 :::::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::::::

This torch will stay lit once ignited. If you put it away, the flame will be extinguished until you light it again.

Throwing SpearTraveler SpearSerpentine spearSoldiers SpearBoko Spear

Throwing Spear is a basic attacking spear with low base damage. The catch is that when it is thrown it deals double damage and has a better throwing mechanic. It doesn't flip in the air like most throwable weapons do. It get's launched and thrust through the air like a spear should. This makes it travel further and have better accuracy including damage. You can find your first throwing spear at the Bokoblin camp near the Old Man's Cabin inside the skull chest. Remember the location of the spear after use as if it does not break you may want to pick it up and use it again.

 ::::::::: LORE ::::::::::

A specialized spear weighted to excel as a throwing weapon. It's perfectly balanced to be thrown farther than your average spear, able to pierce targets from a great distance.

Traveler's Spear is similar to many other Traveler's items in the game as being a common but useful item. This one is a basic spear still and has the flurry thrusting attack when charged with the Stamina Meter. It can be found in various places throughout the game but I found my first one at the Cryonis Shrine in an alcove. You will need to use the Cryonis rune inside the shrine to acquire it. It has a base attack power of 3.

 ::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::

A spear used mainly by travelers to fend off wolves and other beasts. It's easy to hold and simple to use.

The Serpentine Spear is located inside one of the Twin Memories shrines. You will have to paraglide from the rising platform to get to the sheikah chest. Once you do it has an attack power of 14 and some interesting lore with it. However, it seems to be just a basic spear with a bit of the same durability level.

 ::::::::: LORE ::::::::::

The spearhead of this weapon is uniquely Sheikah in design. Spear masters of the Sheikah tribe can use the crescent shape to snag their opponents and deliver brutal cuts.

Soldier's Spear is a pretty commonly found weapon that I first ran into in one of the many treasure chest in this game. An exact location would be the Trial of Passage secret shrine. See our shrines section for more information. It is located inside one of the treasure chest with the Sheikah symbols. It has 12 or 14 attack power and has decent durability with the basic spear move-set.

 ::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::

A long spear once used by the guards of Hyrule Castle. Easy to use but difficult to master. The iron tip is very sturdy and the shaft will not burn when exposed to flame.

Boko Spear: This is a common and very weak item carried very much by Bokoblin enemies and their leaders. The weapon can be set on fire to deal more damage or be more hazardous to Link. It can also be used as a very long torch. The weapon only has 2 attack power is in found commonly off bokoblin enemies at the Great Plateau.

 :::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

A spear recklessly carved from a tree branch. Useful for skewering fish and meat, which can then be cooked over a flame. If it's close to breaking, consider throwing it.

Dragonbone SpearMoblin SpearSpiked Moblin SpearFlame Spear
Dragonbone Boko Spear: I found one of these early off a Blue Lizalfols swimming in the waters near the Major Test of Strength Shrine. A Better location would be the waters south of Hateno Village. Defeat the Blue Lizalfos there and you should acquire this 12 attack spear.

 :::: LORE :::: 306

This Boko spear has been strengthened with fossilized bones. The bones are positioned outward so the fangs bite at the opponent. Beware bokoblins carrying this weapon.

Moblin Spear: Strangely I found this off of a blue bokoblin near the East Necluda Region. Apparently they drop off Moblins but the attack power is only four. I might need more information on this weapon so stay tuned for updates daily.

 ::::: LORE ::::: 307

This wooden spear is most often used by Moblins. It's made from a hastily whittled tree, so its stabbing power and durability are both pretty low.

Spiked Moblin Spear: Get this one a bit later in the game when moblins become more of an occurrence. It puts out low damage though I am pretty sure it is 9-10 but it will serve useful in a pinch. Try looking around the Moblins of the Gerudo Desert's Region Canyons if you haven't found one of these yet.

 :::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::

This Moblin-made spear uses a horned animal bone as the spearhead. Like many Moblin weapons it's sloppily made, but this one packs some respectable piercing power.

Flame Spear: This is a pretty powerful fire spear with the same great reach and 7-8 striking flurry attack as all spears. It can be found at the Korsh Ohu shrine. This a secret shrine quest that can be found on The Seven Heroines shrine quest ball puzzle.

 :::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::

Guardian SwordEightfold BladeEightfold LongbladeEdge of DualityWindcleaverSpiked Moblin Club
The Guardian Sword can be found at Taloh Naeg's Teaching shrine when you defeat the trial drone enemy. There may be more of these later on in the game but this is the first one I have acquired. It is a very beautiful looking guardian weapon but it is still breakable and has no other special effect. The attack on the weapon is 20 but it breaks very easily.

 ::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::

A sword often wielded by Guardian Scouts. Its blue energy blade is a product of ancient technology. It's not very durable.

The Eightfold Blade can also be found at Taloh Naeg's Teaching shrine which is located in Kakariko Village. This is a reward in one of the Sheikah Treasure Chest. It may have 14 attack power despite what it says on the banner. It breaks easily and has basic sword strike attacks. It is a weapon favored by the Sheikah Tribe.

 ::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::

A single-edged sword traditional to the Sheikah tribe. Forged using ancient technologym it just may be among the sharpest conventional weapons ever made.

Eightfold Longblade can be found in a Sheikah Treasure chest inside one of the Twin shrines. You will have to paraglide to the chest after taking the moving platform. The blade is a very long two handed katana with a completely new moveset compared to basic two-handed weapons. I was thinking about this before I started writing and just want to say it's the little things that count. For example this weapon using a swift strike if you attack while running. As well as a different move-set than most two-handed weapons once again. Nintendo really seems to have hit the little things that create a masterpiece with this title. It reminds me of Super Mario Bros. 3 all over again. I guess that is a far stretch but the amount of little interesting ideas in that game with an overall great experience put it over the top. Nintendo has returned to its former greatness and for that I am happy.

 ::::: LORE ::::: 259

A single-edged sword seldom seen in Hyrule. This weapon is passed down through the Sheikah tribe and has an astonishingly sharp edge ideal for slicing.

Edge of Duality can be found at the Rookee's Blessing shrine after completing a long series of side-quests. First you must go to Kakariko Village and help everyone of the townsfolk after completing the Locked Memento's main quest. Afterward, complete the Find the Great Fairy Fountain main quest with Papariko the artist. Next start doing the townsfolk side-quests. You can see them all listed above in our side quest section of this guide. Be sure to check it out because the blade is pretty powerful at 50 attack damage. After revealing the secret shrine the chest will be sitting with no required puzzle for all your troubles. Open it inside the Blessing Shrine for your reward. This weapon is a basic two-handed blade with the whirlwind special like many others however, it has 50 damage which is the highest I have seen thus far. Durability is still in testing by myself thanks.

 ::::: LORE ::::: 260

A Curious double-edged sword crafted using Sheikah Technology. It was originally made for Hyrulean Knights unfamiliar with single-edged blades.

Windcleaver: Despite having no name in the banner. This is one of the most unique weapons that I have currently come across in the game. It is a Two-Handed Katana. It retains the entire Katana move-set with a slight twist. It shoots out powerful blasts of wind at foes. These blast do the swords damage I believe. I can't confirm for sure as I didn't have champions tunic on at the time of use. It is well worth keeping and even using as a decoration in your home. It looks fantastic as a weapon and even when it is sheathed inside the katana sword case. Finally, the wind blast animation is awesome, packs power, and is even useful.

You can find these after defeating Master Kohga of the Yiga Clan. The large Yiga Blade masters will begin stalking Link as he travels the world of Hyrule at this point in many locations. They are much weaker then the Blademaster's from the hideout so don't worry too much. They will also always drop this blade so make good use of it, because it's very fun!

 :::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

This sword is favored by high-ranking members of the Yiga. When wielded by a proficient fighter, its unique shape cleaves the very wind and creates a vacuum.

Spiked Moblin Club: This one is very similar to the moblin spear, except I had a bit more fun with it. It deals around 14 damage and the Whirlwind attack with it is very nice. Remember that it deals blunt damage and some weapons are better in certain cases then others. This of course depends on the type of enemy you fight, The whirlwind attack with this weapon still eats stamina but it is great for clearing out stal moblins in packs.

 :::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

Animal bone has been affixed to this Moblin club to greatly improve its damage.

Double AxeGerudo ScimitarThunderblade
Double Axe: The static location of this item is always found at the Kala Kala Bazaar in the Gerudo Desert Region of the game. It is laying on a palm tree to the right of the Inn. The weapon has the basic two-handed axe attacks and can cut down a tree with one strike. It is slow attacking and deals 18 damage with each uncharged attack.

 :::: LORE :::: 247

This double-sided axe was designed with fighting in mind. It's a bit unwieldy, so it requires a well-practices technique to use efficiently.

Gerudo Scimitar: The constant location of this weapon and the respawn of it will always be right outside the Inn at Kala Kala Bazaar. The sword will be sitting against the wall of the inn. Be sure to pick it up if you are a collector as well as take a picture for the compendium. The weapon has only 14 damage which is low at this point in the game. It also has pretty short range.

 :::: LORE :::: 211

This common sword is often carried by Gerudo women for self-defense. Its short, curved blade is easily recognized.

Thunderblade: Along with the flame blade this is one of my favorites.

A magical sword forged and refined by lightning from the Hyrule Hills. When the blade shines with a golden light, it will electrocute enemies struck by it.

Scimitar of the SevenLightscale TridentBoulder BreakerDaybreakerGreat Eagle Bow

Scimitar of the Seven: This item can be found after defeating Thunderblight Ganon at the Vah Naboris Divine Beast dungeon. It holds 32 attack power and will be given to Link in a treasure chest upon returning to her throne at Gerudo Town. If the treasure chest do not spawn, head out and fast travel to the nearest shrine which is right outside the city. Then return to Riju at the throne room and the two chest should be there. This is just a warning because it has happened to me. The blade can be remade or repaired by Riju's personal guard for a diamond.

 :::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::

A famous sword once beloved by the Gerudo Champion Urbosa. It is said that when Urbosa swung this sword in battle, her movements resembled a beautiful dance.

Lightscale Trident: This item will be given in a treasure chest as a reward from King Dorephan of the Zora. You can acquire it after defeating Waterblight Ganon at the Vah Ruta dungeon. It deals 22 damage and like the Scimitar of the Seven can be repaired for a few items and some flint. This is useful as it has pretty good Durability and you always know where you can get a decent weapon.

 :::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::

A spear of peerless grace cherished by the Zora Champion Mipha. Although Mipha specialized in healing abilities, her spearmanship was in a class all its own.

Boulder Breaker: This is the most powerful of all the dungeon treasures you will acquire from the elders/leaders of those respective cities in the game. It is two-handed but deals a huge 60 damage with the potentially extremely deadly whirlwind attack. It breaks a little bit too easily for my taste, but It can be repaired by the blacksmith at goron city. It resembles a cobble crusher which can also be found right outside the armor shop in Goron City. That would be it's blood moon respawning location as well.

 ::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::

This two-handed weapon was once wielded by the Goron Champion Daruk. Daruk made swinging it around look easy, but a Hylian would need an immense amount of strength.

Daybreaker: This awesome looking shield can be acquired after defeating Thunderblight Ganon. You must return to Riju in female gerudo garb at her throne in Gerudo Town. For me the item chest did not spawn the first time I went there. In that case I quickly fast traveled to the nearest shrine and re-entered the throne room and they both appeared. Pick up the two item chest and one of them contains this shield. The woman that stands next to Riju can repair the shield if it is broken. She will make another one for a price, not actually repairing but it is the best we have for now. This way we can always know where to go for a decent shield. However, it will cost a diamond which is rather rare to make this again. Better start farming Stone Talus see our boss section.

 :::::::: LORE ::::::::::

This shield was cherished by the Gerudo Champion Urbosa. The gold used to make it was handpicked to ensure a design that is both lightweight and very durable.

Great Eagle Bow:
A very good bow that was once used by the legendary Champion Revali of the Rito tribe. This bow has 28 damage with each shot, but it fires 3 arrows at once for the price of only one arrow! This makes it one of the best damage outputting bows in the game. It can also be repaired if you have the tools to do so. Head to the Rito village and talk to Teba, he will repair the bow for a swallow or falcon bow + a diamond. This makes this weapon capable of always being available easily as long as you make the trip to Teba.

 :::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::

A bow without equal wielded by the Rito Champion, Revali. it's said Revali could loose arrows with the speed of a gale, making him supreme in aerial combat.

Lynel SwordLynel ShieldLynel BowLynel CrusherLynel Spear

Lynel Weapons:
These can all be farmed off of the basic Lynel which is brown in color. You can find one of these at the center of the Colisseum as well as during the Zora section of the four divine beast questline. There are several more scattered around the world and I will list several if not all of them. There are also various races of Lynel which we will get into more later. For now, the Lynel always drops these three awesome items. As well as the possibility of Lynel guts and of course the Lynel Horn.

The Lynel Shield: is interesting because when you parry with it you can also do damage to an enemy due to it's blades. This is stated by the lore in the game and I have tested it out a little. It seems to do damage every time you swing it with the "A" button. It may also do damage upon the actual parry when your timing is correct.

 :::::::::: LORE ::::::::::

A sturdy shield favored by Lynels for its defensive and offensive capabilities. First and foremost a shield, but the banded edges can deal slashing attacks when deflecting.

The Lynel Bow: is even more interesting as it fires off three arrows at a time in a lob formation for the price of one arrow. This means 10 damage = 30 damage if all arrows connect on an enemy. Yes any type of arrow can be used and you would still only consume one arrow at a time. This includes ancient arrows as well as bomb arrows.

 :::: LORE :::: 340

A Lynel-made bow crafted from rough metal. True to the vicious nature of Lynel weaponry, it fires a spread of multiple arrows at once. Ideal for taking down quick-moving targets.

The Lynel Sword: which looks a bit like the blades of chaos or athena from the God of War franchise of games. This weapon is actually pretty decent for a sword but has no special ability. It has good durability though a mid-level damage. Plus it just looks cool when wearing all the Lynel gear at once.

 :::::::::: LORE ::::::::::

This Lynel-made sword was designed with smashing in mind rather than slicing. It's on the heavy side compared to what Hylians are used to, but it's very strong.

The Lynel Crusher:
I haven't even found this item personally. It is rare because the Lynel's will eventually level-up and change mane colors increasing their difficulty. Once this happens they will also upgrade their weaponry. This makes it very possible to lose you're chance on acquiring this weapon in the game. Try getting it early if you want it by farming some Lynels. See our bestiary section for certain/specific locations. The weapon has 36 attack power and around 20 durability. It also seems to look awesome from the video and art work pieces i have seen. I am really upset I missed out on this one.

 :::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This two-handed weapon is favored by the Lynels. It may be more accurate to call it a lump of metal than a weapon, but if wielded by a Lynel, it can pound you into a fine dust.

The Lynel Spear:
Once again, I missed out on acquiring this weapon just like I did the previous Lynel Crusher. This is most likely due to the same exact reasons as I mentioned above. The more enemies you kill, or the more dungeons you complete in the main-story. Basically, however it works, the Lynels will equip stronger items eventually and you can miss this one. If you get it early, try not to use it and put it on display at you're house in Hateno Village. This spear deals 14 damage, is nice looking and has around 25 durability.

 ::::::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::::::::::

The crescent-shaped spearhead of this Lynel-made weapon gives it poor balance, making it difficult to wield. Lynels, however, can swing it effectively with a single hand.

Mighty Lynel CrusherMighty Lynel SpearMighty Lynel SwordMighty Lynel BowMighty Lynel Shield

Mighty Lynel Crusher:
This one is another rare one for me, although I may have acquired it off the White Lynel I fought in the ruins mentioned in the bestiary of this guide. The weapon looks awesome and deals 54 damage with a lower durability rating than average at 25. The weapon will drop late game but a bit rarely. White maned Lynels usually have a higher chance to drop these weapons. However, silver Lynels will become more abundant later on in the game, so try to stock up earlier.

 ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This Lynel-made two-handed weapon has been reinforced to increase its durability and striking power. Its overwhelming heft will crush your foe, shield and all.

Mighty Lynel Spear:
This one I actually acquired and remember taking down the Lynel too get it. It was a white maned one, the nasty type. The kind that will do that circle damage thing and get you stuck inside it. You thought you could handle the heat but you dropped all you're hearts including the magical yellow ones. The fairies ran away and you died, game over. Seriously, these Lynels can be tough, especially their AoE ( area of effect ) blast attack. Watch out for that, because it could be a fast knock out. However, white maned Lynels and if you're lucky and looking for these a silver Lynel may drop it. The weapon has 25 base attack power and 35 durability rating.

 :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The weight and cutting edge of this Lynel-made spear have both been enhanced. It's immensely heavy for a Hylian, but a Lynel can cleave through rock with a single swing.

The Mighty Lynel Sword:
The Mighty Lynel sword is an awesome weapon with chains attached to a viciously sharpened blade. White maned Lynel's will carry this weapon mostly. It has good attack power at a base of 36 and is one-handed. This makes it especially useful, since Link can hold a shield at the same time as wielding the blade. The sword's durability is also decent at a base of 32, which is close to it's actual base damage number.

 ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This Lynel-made sword boasts more blades and more attack power. A skilled Lynel can draw this sword simply in passing and still cut a foe in two.

The Mighty Lynel Bow:
This bow deals 20x3 damage at a time if all three arrows connect on a target. It will deal extra damage if you hit an enemies core or weakpoint. For example the head of a bokoblin, or the eye of a Guardian enemy. The three arrows give the weapon more attack radius, especially when shooting bomb arrows from the mighty lynel bow. You can farm this one mid to late game off of White Maned Lynels. See our bestiary section on Lynel enemies for further information.

 :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This massive Lynel bow sports a bowstring made from a metal so tough, mere Hylians have trouble drawing it back.

The Mighty Lynel Shield:
An awesome looking shield that has a bladed front and chains coming out the sides of the blades. This shield can deal damage on a successful parry and is one of the sweetest looking shields in the game. The shield has 44 base defense that can be increased later on in the game. Look for this one specifically mid too late game off of White Maned Lynel enemies.

 :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This Lynel-made shield has been reinforced with armor and even more blades. Stronger in both defense and offense, it can tear through basic armor when deflecting.

Royal Shield:
This shield becomes very common later on in the game. I found my first version early though, off of a Molduga. After the battle with the Molduga it was laying inside a treasure chest. The shield has 55 defense and is quite a piece too admire with the eyes.

 ::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

A shield issued to the Hyrulean royal family's immediate guard detail. It boasts a high defense, but these days it's more a collector's item due to its ornamentation.

Royal Bow:
A golden bow that comes packed often enough in the game to be able to hunt with. However, although common it will drop much later in the game abundantly. The weapon can come with a quick shot perk as well as increased damage and durability. The bow deals 38 damage at a base and is so common it can be used for hunting even!

 ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::

In the past, the king of Hyrule presented this bow to only the most talented archers in the land. Its combat capabilities are as impressive as its extravagant design.

Royal Broadsword:
A solid weapon that will be found abundantly later on in the game. The weapon deals a good amount of damage at 36 base for a one-handed blade. You can wield you're shield with the weapon in this case and it's fine appearance makes it tolerable for long journeys.

 ::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

The Hyrulean royal family would award this sword to knights who achieved remarkable feats. A sword that balances strength and beauty as elegantly as this one is a rare find.

Royal Claymore:
This two-handed blade is found pretty commonly later on in the game. It has a nice royal and golden design and packs a bit of a punch as well. The sword has the whirlwind attack when charged and basically deals 52 damage per strike. The weapon also has nice durability at around 40. Most royal weapons have pretty good damage too durability ratios.

 :::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

A two-handed sword issued to the Hyrulean royal family's immediate guard detail. Its powerful strikes are said to crush an opponent's body and resolve alike.

Royal Halberd:
This weapon must've had an increased durability perk when I was using it against a Silver Lynel at the Coliseum Ruins. I battled the Lynel recently and I have all four dungeons completed with tons and tons of monsters killed. I also have hundreds of hours clocked in on my save file. However, this weapon alone without a damage/attack boost, pretty much took out the Lynel's entire health bar without breaking. Either it was a huge durability boost or this weapon just has an amazing durability rating. I personally would like to think it's a combination of both.

After doing some research and checking out some durability ratings. This weapon has one of the highest base durability ratings, thanks too Zeldapedia. You can find more information like this if you type in Zeldapedia on google or another search engine. The attack base for the weapon is 26. The weapon's durability is a huge 50 according too the folks over at Zeldapedia. This is probably why it lasted so long in the Silver Lynel fight I had mentioned above. I don't know if 100 is the cap or possibly 99, maybe it can go over that amount? But with a durability bonus this spear can get very close too that number.

 :::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

This spear was issued to the knights who guarded Hyrule Castle's throne room. Its ornate design was applied by a craftsman in service to the royal family.

Bow and Arrow:

Boko BowSpiked Boko BowDragonbone Boko Bow

The Boko Bow:
This item can be farmed off many Bokoblin enemies or even Stal Bokoblin's at the Great Plateau. It has low durability and only 4 attack power. It is still useful in a pinch due to its abundance in quantity.

 ::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::

A basic Bokoblin bow made of wood. It's made by taking any tree branch and tying a string to either end, so don't expect much in the way of combat effectiveness.

Spiked Boko Bow:
A 12 damage outputting bow that can be farmed early on in the game. It will be harder to acquire later on, I am not sure of the respawn location so try and use it while you can. Even treasure chest later in the game will change items depending upon how many dungeons have been completed or at least your Main Quest progress.

 :::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::

An upgraded Boko Bow bound with animal bone to boost its durability and firepower. Its craftsmanship is sloppy, but it's light and easy to use.

Dragon Bone Boko Bow:
The most powerful of all the Boko Bow's. This bow can be acquired later on in the game and may be considered a bone weapon. This means that if applicable it will deal extra damage while wearing the Radiant Tight suit. It deals 36 damage and fires one shot at a time.

 :::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::

A Boko bow reinforced by fossils. Bokoblins handpicked the materials it's made from, so it boasts a respectable firepower.

Traveler's Bow:
Can be found right in a treasure chest outside inside the Temple of Time. You can find it in the western corner right before the Statue of the Goddes Hylia. It has 5 attack damage and is quite the nice looking bow.
 ::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::

A small bow used by travelers for protection. It doesn't do a lot of damage, but it can be used to attack foes from a distance.

Soldier's Bow:
This item has a high attack damage at 14. It also seems to have good durability for the moment. You should find your first Soldier's Bow after acquiring the first four spirit orbs and meeting the King at the top of the temple of time. It is in the treasure chest here and is right after acquiring the Paraglider.

 :::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::

A bow designed for armed conflict. Inflicts more damage than a civilian bow, but it will still burn if it touches fire.

Wooden Bow:
This item seems to be quite a rare item as I have only found one of these. This one was located either off a Bokoblin in the Outpost Ruins or just on the ground. Weird I have only found one of these. The attack power is 4 and it breaks easily.

 :::::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::::

This wooden bow may not be the most reliable for battling monsters, but it is excellent for hunting small animals.

Phrenic Bow:
This item has a base damage of 10 and is really interesting because it may be the only bow that has an extra zoom function. It also fires arrows off much faster and stronger than many of the basic bows in the game. This weapon is ideal to hold on too especially if you run into one of the Korok air balloon puzzles. I found mine at the top of the Latern Lakes mountain right near Kakariko village.

Climb the mountain top then use magnesis on the treasure chest. It may fall into the water below if so you should find another chest there anyway. Use magnesis once again to take it out and open both chest. Alternatively you can also find this in a Sheikah Chest near the 2nd stable which has a shrine. I forgot the name of it and can't confirm at the moment. The one in Kakariko can be acquired earlier and perhaps more easily though.

 ::::: LORE ::::: 331

A bow passed down through the Sheikah tribe. Concentrating before drawing the string will allow you to target distant enemies as easily as those nearby.

Duplex Bow:
These bows will drop commonly off of Yiga Clan Foot soldiers that appear all over the world after defeating Master Kohga. The weapon fires off two arrows at once, although it is hard to notice. It deals 14x2 damage if both arrows hit the target in this case. In total it can deal 28 damage if both hit but you can not pick up your arrows after firing not even one!

 :::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::

A bow favored by the skilled archers of the Yiga Clan. It's been engineered to fire two arrows at once to ensure your target comes to a swift and none-too-pleasant halt.

Fire ArrowIce ArrowShock ArrowBomb ArrowsAncient Arrow

Arrows:
Arrows can be found for just about any bow can be found as common and slightly random loot all over the world of the Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. These arrows do not have anything special about them but depending on the bow being used can vary in power. You should find your first bow off Stal Bokoblin or Bokoblin enemies in the Great Plateau. Sometimes these enemies drop arrows with their bow. Alternatively, if you can find some jars, pots, crates and other similar objects. Breaking them may reveal some arrows as well.

Fire Arrows:
Can be found in various chest throughout the game. They are more powerful than basic arrows as they can ignite enemies on fire. This will deal damage over time and can also be used to blow up any explosives or flammable hazardous objects. Such as the red explosive barrels near some Bokoblin camps. I found my first 5x Fire Arrows near the Skull Head Bokoblin camp which is a little North of the Eastern Abbey. This was my 2nd skull chest discovery and will also be listed in the treasure chest section of this strategy guide.

Ice Arrows:
Ice arrows return yet again and for more awesome fun in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild. This time around you can farm these at the start of the game if you know where to look. See our treasure chest section as it has some nice spots for these at the Great Plateau. You can also buy them from the Curios Quiver at Kakariko Village later in the game as well as some other locations and shops. Mostly you will find them in the treasure chests scattered around the world. This is the best way to get them at the moment for me because I don't like spending rupees on arrows ever.

Furthermore, you can buy some extra ice arrows at Zora's Domain inside the general shop next to the local waterbed inn. These arrows can freeze enemies making them completely immobile and vulnerable. When an enemy is hit while frozen they take a big extra damage increase. I am not sure the math but it may be triple damage or double damage which would mean every frozen enemy that gets hit would therefore be critically hit.

Shock Arrows:
These are lightning arrows and they are effective against enemies near water or any other enemy weak too lightning damage. These can be found in a large abundance near a lizalfos camp in the Gerudo Desert a bit west of Gerudo Town. They can also be farmed off or near the Red maned Lynel on Mount Polymus near the Zora's Domain. These are better than fire arrows and probably equal to ice arrows in my opinion. They can cause great AoE ( area of effect ) damage near enemies in the water. When these arrows hit water a big circle of electrical energy will engulf an area in decently large radius. They can also stun all enemies around the area and will stun or shock the enemy per every arrow that hits.

When an enemy is shocked they will drop there weapons and Link can then take them or pick them up. This is excellent against "Silver" enemies such as a silver moblin or bokoblin. Silver enemies do tons of damage and carry powerful weapons with a decently long battle time. This can result in eating hearts and causing more farming time for speed runners. If you shock these silver enemies and take there weapons it is basically lowering there attack by a huge amount.

Shock arrows can once again stun or electrify an enemy. However, I have not noticed enemies taking much extra damage when hit while being electrocuted. The trade off from the ice arrows extra hit damage increase is most likely the fact that the enemies attack will be lowered by them physically dropping there weapons. It is a nice touch and off the norm from most other ways elemental weapons are implied in various games.

Bomb Arrows:
Are very powerful and make a classic return from their first appearance in Zelda Twilight Princess. They look even better in Breath of the Wild and still pack a great punch. They are excellent in the Great Plateau fight against the Stone Talos. I found my first bundle of 5x Bomb Arrows near the Bokoblin campsite close to the Old Man's Cabin area. You will have to sneak past the bees and either bomb the wooden barricade or cut it down with a woodcutter's ax to get to the treasure chest. You can also purchase bomb arrows at one of the shops in Kakariko or Hateno Village but they are very expensive.

As I progress through this game and become more knowledgeable of the game's mechanics I realized something interesting. Most of these arrows are very well done and all have different usages. Whether it would be not only the animation or graphically differences, but actual differences in the games mechanics and physics. This ultimately leads to a player getting to accustom to their favorite bow and arrow combination, thus increasing the games replay ability and overall value.

With the latter being said, bomb arrows are the only form of arrow where I am not quite sure of the catch. It seems they do double damage than the basic arrow, but I could be wrong. Fire arrows deal normal damage but burn enemies overtime, ice arrows freeze and critical hits are guaranteed on a frozen enemy. Shock arrows have enemies dropping weapons and stops them in their tracks. Ancient arrows even are just the uber powerful end-game arrows and that makes sense very much so. That leave the bomb arrows which are arguably the most devastating if not definitely the most devastating.

The problem is what do they do that are different than fire,ice,shock,ancient, and basic arrows. What is the catch here, do they do double damage? Do the bomb arrows deal the same damage except the radius is much larger with each attack due to the bomb arrows explosion? I think it is a mixture of both I could be 100% wrong on the double damage but the blast radius definitely causes at least some damage. I don't know if the backfire from the blast causes as much damage as the initial explosion though. Note, after the explosion fire will usually spread in grassy areas and bomb arrows have potential to set enemies or even bosses on fire in this case.

Conclusively for now, I love these things! Let's say that they deal double damage on a direct hit. The blast aftermath can cause fire damage and possible splash damage. Finally they have the largest radius of attack of all the arrows. Except for the shock arrows which come close but only near water. One other cool feature that is a disadvantage to the player but still cool. When it rains the bomb arrow will not explode at all as the fuse will not burn. People may consider this a downplay, but I call it amazing work by Nintendo.

Ancient Arrows:
These arrows are the most powerful arrows in the game. They can one shot kill any enemy except for guardians and guardian scouts. However, if you shoot a guardian in the blue eye core it will instantly die. If not it will take up too three hits to defeat the guardian with any bow. The ancient arrows also look very appealing and they are made from ancient sheikah technology. The ancient arrows can purchased at the Akkala Ancient Tech Lab. This is only after finishing robbie's research sidequest. The player must have the necessary ancient components, rupees, and arrows to be able to craft and pay for these arrows. Finally, beetle may give you a few on "customer appreciation day" Love is the answer!

Golden BowFalcon BowSwallow Bow

Golden Bow:
This bow can be found by the Goddess Statue inside Gerudo Town. It is inside a sunken treasure chest that you will need magnesis to wedge out. Inside the chest is the bow and arrow weapon. It has a zoom in function that is pretty nice but it deals low damage. It looks to be of golden Gerudo craftsmanship.

This Gerudo-made bow is popular for the fine ornamentations along its limbs. Designed for hunting and warfare alike, this bow was engineered to strike distant targets.

Falcon Bow:
The Falcon bow, may be a little rare. I have currently only found one of these and it is part of the Divine Beast main questline. Once you head to Teba at the flight range and complete the mini-trial he will bestow upon Link this bow of his. It has 20 damage attack power, but it fires faster than most other bows with quick shot auto-perk.

 :::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::::::

A highly refined Rito-made bow created by a master Rito craftsman. Rito warriors favor it for its superior rate of fire, which helps them excel even further at aerial combat.

Swallow Bow:
This bow is a little bit rare for me at least. I finished my questline of the Divine Beast with the Rito Village or the Vah Medoh dungeon. It has not dropped for me yet but it may for you if you tackle that dungeon earlier on than I did. If i find another situation where I come across one I will list it here. Apologies on this one again! It deals 9 damage and can only fire one arrow at a time. There is an error in the item artwork. This bow only deals 9 damage at a time, double apologies.

This bow is a favorite among Rito warriors. The bowstring has been specially engineered for aerial combat, which allows it to be drawn faster than a normal bow.

Lizal BowReinforced Lizal BowSteel Lizal Bow

Lizal Bow:
This weapon can be found often once you reach Lizalfos enemies. It is only common often prior to completing the first dungeon. It will be come the enhanced versions later on, such as the steel and reinforced Lizal Bows. However, it may be found as a respawn in certain or one particular area in the game. If anyone knows the respawn location I would appreciate it and credit them here.

 :::::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::

A wooden bow created by Lizalfos. It's reinforced by the bones of a large fish - a marked improvement over any standard wooden bow.

Reinforced Lizal Bow:
At 25 damage output this bow is actually quite good for it's abundance. It drops often off of Lizal warriors specifically in the Gerudo Desert region if you haven't completed too many dungeons or progressed too far into the main story. It looks a bit better than the basic version as we can see the level of detail Nintendo went too even on very similar weaponry.

 ::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::

A Lizal bow with a grip reinforced by metal. The body is made from the branches of a flexible tree that grows near water, which offers some serious destructive power.

Steel Lizal Bow:
The Prime version of the Lizal bow weapons. This version deals 36 damage and is the highest tier of the Lizal bows. It can be found after completing your first dungeon a bit rarely. However it will be the most abundant during your mid-game, which would be 2nd and 3rd dungeons.

Rusty Shields can be found in the West Necluda Region and specifically near the Outpost Ruins often. Remember the game respawns items and enemies after a Calamity Ganon blood moon event so check these locations often if you want to stock up. It has 3 defense and has low durability.

A common shield found among the Lizalfos. It's made of metal, but its sloppy craftsmanship offers poor durability.

Reinforced Lizal Shield: This is a higher quality version of the basic Lizal shield. The shield can be farmed off of Lizalfos enemies even around the Gerudo desert. I still find them plentiful considering I have complete the Vah Naboris dungeon as well as many other side-quests.

Steel Lizal Shield: It is possible this is the highest or max defense shield of the Lizal shield class. It has a very nice 35 shield defense. This means you can take 35 damage with this shield before losing any hearts. This statistic has nothing to do with durability. Shield Surfing will effect shield durability. Parrying with a shield as well as the shield being hit will take away shield durability. Although your base shield defense will not be affected in consideration with your heart meter.

It may offer 16 defense despite the icon saying 14 so I apologize for that. The game description states that you can see blind spots better with this shield. However, I have noticed any difference. It is easy to acquire and the shrine is based around teaching the player the flurry attack as well as parrying.

Old Shirt can be found in the first or second treasure chest of the game. This is right inside where Link wakes up at the Shrine of Resurrection. It offers only one defense but it is better than wearing nothing. The Worn Trousers can also be found right next to the Old Shirt in the second treasure chest. Be sure to open them both up. The Worn Trousers offers only 1 extra defense points but it is better than wearing nothing.

The Warm Doublet can be found after doing a few things. First, you should read the Old Man's Journal at the Old Man's Cabin in the Great Plateau area. If you do this will help Link learn the secret Recipe that will reward the doublet. To speed things up the secret ingredient is a Hyrule Bass which can be farmed all over the waters of this region. The next ingredient is some spicy pepper and it can be farmed right before the wintry mountain entrance. Finally, the Raw Meat can be farmed off of Boar wildlife in the Forest of Spirits. Once you have them all head back to the Old Man's Cabin and hold one of each. Put them into the pot to cook than talk to the Old Man again and he will reward Link with the Warm Doublet.

Climber's Bandana can be find at the timing is critical shrine as the Sheikah chest reward. Just remember to use stasis on the switches not the moving platforms. Also don't forget to run to the see saw after using stasis on the switch quickly to get the treasure chest which contains this item. This item will grant Link 3 defense as well as increase his climbing speed which is very useful.

Shiekah SetHylian SetHyrulean Soldier Set

The Sheikah Set has three pieces of armor in it. They all be can be purchased at the Enchanted Armor shop in Kakariko Village. You will get a total defense increase of 6 when all pieces are equipped. Also note you get a stacking bonus to stealth and look cool while doing so. The armor's stealth function allows Link to sneak around better. This makes sneak attacks easier as well as hunting certain wildlife.

Even certain insects will be easier to catch by just walking up to them with this armor set on. The problem is that it cost 1800 rupees for the entire set. The good thing is that if you have been following this guide daily you will have enough. Start by selling your materials, amber and opals. Finally the Ruby materials that we acquired from the Stone Talus at the Great Plateau will help greatly. I am also pretty sure he respawns after the blood moon event after talking to Impa. Blood moons will reset all dead enemies in the game as well as item spawns. This way you can farm them again and again!

At Level #2 which you can get too if you go to the great fairy in kakariko village as well as leveling up the complete armor set a second time at the Gerudo desert great fairy. The player will gain a nice set bonus while wearing the entire Sheikah Set of armor. Link will now be able to run faster only during nighttime with this full set equipped and a 2 Star set rating.

Tights crafted by the Sheikah, laced with ancient technology that suppresses the noisy rustling of clothes.

The Hylian Set can also be purchased at the Enchanted Armor shop in Kakariko Village. It is much cheaper than the Sheikah Stealth armor set and provides 3 more defense with the entire set. As a full set it is mainly used to increase defenses and will bring Link's total armor defense to 9. It also is very nice looking and being cheap I suggest picking it up right away. Armor sets are some of the coolest ideas in The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild so stay tuned here for more updates.

At level #2 from both great fairy fountains, this item increases in defense mainly. However there is no set bonus when all pieces are equipped. This is at least at a level 2 star rating. When I get the armor set to level 3 it may change, so there will be more updates to come soon. Once again the first great fairy is part of the main quest and found at Kakariko Village's shrine. The second great fairy for me at least was found in the Gerudo Desert near the Leviathan bones on the world map.

These trousers are common throughout the Hyrule region. The soft fabric makes them quite comfortable.

Hyrulean Soldier Set can be purchased at Hateno Village armor shop. It is well worth getting in my opinion as are many of the other armors in this game. It currently has the highest base defense of all other armors so it is great for fighters. If you level it up via Cotera the Great Fairy you can make it even more defensive. I am not sure of the set bonus just yet but I will keep everyone updated. Note, there is no set bonus on this item sadly. However, it does offer amazing defense and is a go to armor for any tough battle where you want the extra tank appeal.

Hyrulean guards favored these greaves. They owe their distinctly high defense to the metal plates they're made from, but the added weight takes some getting used to.

Gerudo Vai SetGerudo Voe SetSnowquill Set

Gerudo Vai Set: This site is required for the main story line if you plan on heading to Gerudo Deserts dungeon. The set offers low-level heat resistance and disguised Link as a woman. This will allow him access to the main Gerudo City. It also allows Link to complete the Forbidden City Quest as well as traversing the desert easier.

Standard Gerudo garb popular for its open, breathable design and for the traditional Gerudo markings that adorn it.
Gerudo favor this traditional sirwal. Its short length allows for ease of movement, and its subtle design is quite fashionable.

Gerudo Voe Set: Link can acquire this if you simply purchase it at the Gerudo Secret Club. The password is GSC with a diamond at the end. This offers the same heat resistance as the vai gerudo set. It can be upgraded and it can be dyed which is a nice major plus! Later on if you upgrade this set the entire way. The player can also acquire a lightning resistance or shock resistance bonus when the set hits rank #2 as well as much more defense.

To acquire the upgrade your going to need white chuchu jelly. I found this hard to come by at first because white chuchu's seemed pretty rare to me. However I realized how foolish I was! All you really have to do is lay down 5 blue chuchu jelly and shoot them with an ice arrow. This will craft white chuchu jelly. Pretty awesome, got to love it you know?

Snowquill Set: Once you reach the Rito Village at the Tabantha Region, head to the Rito Village armor shop. This set is quite expensive but it will offer protection against cold temperatures. If you can level it up with some red chuchu jelly at one of the 4 great fairy fountains in the game it will become more potent. The defense will not only increase at star rank #2 but you will gain the unfreezable perk while wearing the complete snowquill armor set.

Radiant SetClimbers SetDark Link Set
Radiant Set: This set can be purchased for a ton of rupees nearly 3000, at the Gerudo Secret Club. You must also have several Luminous stones around 15 or more to get the entire set. Finally, to fully upgrade the set you will need even more luminous stones if not tons. I have a good location for farming them in the easter egg section of this guide below. There is a really cool set bonus with this gear so you probably would want to level it up to star two rating to at least check it out. This item can be dyed and there will be more to come on it as I test it out in the world of Hyrule.

The set bonus gives a damage increased to all bone made weaponry. It also serves as a disguise against undead enemies such as stalkoblins. You can literally walk right next to them and they will follow Link around and inspect him during the nighttime. The second you perform an action with a weapon however they will become hostile so be careful. It is still a nice way to avoid them but it only work at the start of a battle.

Climber's Set: Nice set that can be found individually at three different shrine locations. At the Ree Dahnee Shrine ( timing is critical ) you can find the Climber's Bandana. A major test of strength is a battle or combat shrine. It is on the island south of Hateno Village. Use cryonis to get there and have some good food and weapon items for the guardian enemy. Inside that area if the Climber's Chest piece. Tahno O'ah Shrine is a secret shrine that you must locate first. It is also a blessing shrine so you don't need to complete a puzzle here. The reward will be the Climber's Boots.

It may look like a regular bandanna, but it's actually infused with ancient technology that enhances core strength to improve your climbing ability. The ancient technology in this gear will make you a better climber. The special no-slip gloves help you use your energy more efficiently to facilitate nimble climbing. These rock-climbing boots have special no-slip toes that help you cling to walls. This ancient technology facilitates more nimble climbing.

Dark Link Set:
One of the harder sets of armor to acquire in the game. This is mainly due too the grind time you would have to put in defeating enemies. You can purchase it for very close to 3,000 mon at the Fang and Bone shop, owned by Kilton. With that being said you must first complete the Shady Customer Side-quest and than have completed all four divine beast dungeons for this entire set too appear in stock.

The set is a classic throwback on Dark Link from the Legend of Zelda - Adventure of Link. It is also a reminder of our battle with Dark Link inside the Water Temple in A Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time. The costume is just about identical too the way Link looks in Ocarina of Time except with the obvious graphical updates. I have not acquired the Breath of the Wild classic set just yet, but I do think this is a very close dark make over of the armor set. Finally, it is pretty cool looking and when the entire set is worn you will have a night speed increase. However, the item can not be enhanced at all which is the downfall due too very low defense.

Kilton developed this jet-black armor as a result of his monster research. A spurious replica of the green outfit once worn by a legendary hero. The result of Kilton's research into monsters. Flamebreaker Armor SetAncient Armor Set
Flamebreaker Armor Set:
Link can acquire this set in full once he reaches the armor shop at Goron City. To get to goron city without burning, Link should acquire the fire proof elixirs off of Gaile at the Foothill stable first. The foothill stable is visible from the Eldin Tower. Once you get the elixirs and I suggest buying three of them just to be safe. Link can drink one to become flame proof. Now Link can traverse the treacherous roads of Death Mountain safely. There is also another quest here that can get Link a set of the Flame Breaker pants for free. If you talk to one of the Gorons at the Southern Mine near Goron City. Link can initiate a side-quest to capture fire proof lizards. Once you have completed the side quest Link can earn a piece of the Flame Breaker Armor set for free. Only one piece of the armor set will make Link flame proof.

Ranking this armor set to level two star will make Link completely flame proof just like the Thunder Helm makes you immune to lightning or lightning proof. This means many if not all fire attacks will deal absolutely no damage to Link while wearing the complete set. To get the set bonus you will need a few Fire proof lizards. These are very easy to acquire for the first two ranks of this armor and to acquire the set bonus. They can be farmed easily and respawn often at the Southern Mine near Goron City.

Ancient Armor Set:
This is one of my favorite sets in the game. Not only does it look pretty good, but I love the ancient proficiency bonus that you get with it at 2 stars ranking. I also just love the farming required to acquire the complete armor set, as well as all the other purchasable ancient gear and technology you can get too. The ancient proficiency bonus will compliment you in battle whenever you use ancient weapons or shields. The damage output of your ancient weapons will be increased nicely with the entire set worn. This includes bows and specifically the awesome and amazing ancient bow.

The set at base can give up too a level 3 guardian resistance defense boost, which is great against guardian enemies. It is particularly useful when farming guardians. I also like and feel that the Diamond circlet looks good with this set. Mainly due to the looks, but also that it will still give the level 3 guardian resistance boost. It's just an option for fun but I do enjoy the mix and matching that the game has to offer the player. Finally, It would still probably be best gameplay wise to just wear the entire ancient set, this is due to the bonuses mentioned above.

In conclusion this is one of the best armor sets in the game. Ancient arrows can one shot kill just about anything. Even if you miss the eye core of a guardian with this set and an ancient arrow you will still do very good damage with the ancient bow as well. All ancient weapons are powered up with the bonus too. If you are feeling like using ancient weaponry and gear then this set is a must for the time your going to play with it or test it out.

Barbarian Armor SetRubber Armor Set

Barbarian Armor Set:
This is probably one of the most useful sets of armor for later in the game. You will probably acquire the entire set much later as well. There are actually two ways too get the whole set. The first one is too go to all of the Lomei Labyrinth areas, there are three of them in total. One is located Northwest in the Akkala region. One is located in the Hebra region and another near Lanayru if I am correct.

Once you complete the labyrinth dungeon mazes for all three of those areas, you will find a blessing shrine. Each shrine has a piece of the awesome looking and mighty barbarian armor set. Alternatively, you can purchase this item only if you complete the Tarrey Town side-quest completely. If you complete all the sub-missions for Tarrey Town, a merchant named Grante will appear. He will be on one of the rooftops. When you find him, he will sell back certain items to Link, most on topic, he will sell the complete barbarian set. Note, that it may only appear after completing three of the games four major dungeons. It is also very expensive at around 3,000 rupees for each piece. It is still a nice alternative, especially if you really love the set. It may also be nice if you have two sets, one for dying and one for the basic colors with enhancements.

The armor set will give a level one attack bonus increase, with each piece of barbarian armor equipped. I believe this can stack with a Mighty Potion, or mighty food. I could be wrong and I need confirmation. When you have the barbarian set at star rank #2, it will also increase the amount of time you can whirlwind with a two-handed weapon. Mainly, it will increase you're stamina charge time ratio. Finally, you might be farming tons of Lynels to level or rank up the armor at a great fairy.

These leg wraps were favored by a warlike tribe from the Faron region long ago. They're adorned with traditional markings that bolster your fighting spirit to raise your attack power.

Rubber Armor Set:
It took me a very long time to acquire this set. This is the last base armor set other than the gift from the monks for me at least. It's worth it as it really looks awesome. I love the fish helmet part and the turquoise blue eyes on the fish helmet are really something to look at. When you upgrade this set fully for some voltfruit, yellow chuchu jelly and some other common electrical based materials. The player will become unshockable while this entire set is adorned.

The set is a bit rare to find as well. It is scattered across Hyrule in three locations. Two of which are in Faron Region, the first would be the Song of Storms shrine quest. Complete this shrine quest than enter the shrine. Inside the shrine will be a sheikah treasure chest and your reward will be the Rubber Tights. Next, you want to head to the Lakeside Stable in the Faron Region. Talk to Cima the NPC that is feeding the horses around noontime. She will give Link a side quest called Thunder Magnet. Remove the axe from the head of the horse atop the stable and than return to Cima for your reward, which will be the Rubber Helmet.

Finally, You must go to the Thunder Plateau and complete another shrine quest. This one is a bit tougher so I suggest seeing our shrine quest section. It is located at the Ridgeland Region of the game, once again Thundara or Thunder Plateau. Complete the puzzle and once you enter the shrine you must break the first bombable wall. The first bombable wall will contain a sheikah treasure chest with the Rubber Torso. This will complete the set and you can upgrade it at the great fairy for the unshockable perk. You may continue to upgrade the armor set until you get a four star ranking on all the pieces, but it will be expensive!

Champions Tunic
Champions Tunic:

You will acquire this early on in the games main questline from Impa. It is one of the most difficult armor sets to rank up, mainly because you will need Dragon Parts for the rank ups. Please see the dragons section in the easter eggs area of this strategy guide for more information on dragons. This tunic will allow Link to see the numbers of an enemies amount of hit points, not just the red meter bar. It is a beautiful new take on Link compared to the traditional green colors. It also seems to resemble the master sword on the torso or chest of the armor. It has no other set pieces aside from the blue torso, and I feel it looks best with some Hylian Trousers, which are most likely the trousers worn by Link in many of the games memories along with the Champions Tunic.
Sand BootsSnow Boots

Sand Boots: These boots can be acquired by completing the Eighth Heroine side quest. Link must prepare for a long journey and bring some heat resistant armor as well as cold resistant foods and elixir's with him along the way. The final location is near an arrow or spearhead on the map south of the Hemmar's Descent. Once at the location take a picture of the statue's torso and return it to Bozai who gives Link the quest outside of Gerudo Town. If you need more information about this quest please see the side-quests section above. The boots will allow Link to run faster through the sand then he would normally, while still giving some defensive properties.

Gerudo artisans modified these boots for life in the desert. The special soles distribute your body weight evenly so you can maintain your normal movement speed on sand.

Snow Boots: The snow boots can not be acquired forever and they are the same idea as the Sand Boots except useful for the snow. There may be a way later to acquire them for good. However we will just get them to help us acquire the Sand Boots. The snow boots increase walking and running speed while in snowy areas or on top of the snow.

If you don't take the topaz as a reward for handing her the flint, you can purchase these in the shop later. They are great against electrical enemies as the earrings offer electrical resistance and a little defense boost. These would be ideal to wear against Thunderblight Ganon and any other area with electrical based enemies.

Ice RodThunder RodFire RodBlizzard RodLightning RodMeteor Rod

Ice Rod: First I would like to say that the rods are immensely awesome in this game. They are actually very powerful especially against enemies weak to that specific element. They have huge AoE or range ( area of effect ) and the charges on them make the base attacks stronger or more powerful with different animations. Even as you progress from a fire rod to meteor rod, the entire weapons animation and effect changes. Your going to have a ton of fun with these.

The Ice Rod can be found off of Ice Wizzrobe enemies. However, I found mine near Zora's Domain tower. If you are later in the game they may be much harder to come by due to the weapon scaling going up as you progress. So may location could be incorrect. I do believe that there are locations that are guaranteed and when I find those I will list them here.

 :::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::

A magical rod crafted from refined ice found in the Hebra Mountains. This rod can cast waves of freezing air. Great for magic—not so great for melee.

Thunderstorm Rod: The weaker tier of the lightning rod is still really useful, as it can stun enemies with electricity. It also deals some damage and can be charged up with a spin attack. Just don't forget to take Urbosa's Fury off if your planning on using charge attacks.

 ::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

A magical rod that can hurl three balls of electricity at once. Its gem contains electricity from the Hyrule Hills, and the rod will break when that electricity runs out.

Fire Rod: This weapon can be found off of Wizzrobes near the Gerudo Canyon or highlands areas. It will be harder to find as you progress through the game. You need one of these for the Weapon Connoisseur side quest. I will be updating this section when I find one that is in a respawning or guaranteed location. For now this weapon lobs out fireballs and is pretty awesome.

 :::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::::::

A magical rod that can cast fireballs. The rod will break if it strikes something directly, so use it wisely.

Blizzard Rod: This rod can be found off of Ice Wizzrobes and has a nice AoE ( area of effect ) freezing attack. It is rather powerful and enemies that are frozen and then attacked seem to take some sort of critical or extra damage. I really like these rod against moblins and packs of bokoblins. Of course it is weak against ice wizzrobes and extra powerful against fire enemies and lizalfos.

 ::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::

A magical rod that can cast extreme cold in a wide range. These are crafted from refined ice found at the summit of Hebra Peak. It will break when depleted.

Lightning Rod: This rod can be found on the way to Zora's Domain if you run into an electrical wizzrobe. There are guaranteed locations for it and I will find them and list them here soon enough. For now know that you can electrocute enemies that are near water and if you charge this weapon balls of electricity will pulse all around the area. A really cool note on the games physics engine is that interactive objects conduct electricity better and some do not. For example boxes will not set off the electric explosion. The ball of lightning will just "bump" into the wooden crate. I found this quite interesting the level of detail put into the physics engine in this game.

::::::::::::: LORE ::::::::::::

A magical rod that can shoot balls of electricity. Its gem contains lightning from the Hyrule Hills. It's not recommended to use as a melee weapon.

Meteor Rod: An awesome little rod that packs tons of energy and power. You can fire off 3 fireballs at once just like mario and incinerate your enemies at the same time. This is a very powerful rod and it can be acquired off of Wizzrobes around the Gerudo Desert canyon and mountains. I will have exact locations soon stay tuned daily for updates.

Bokoblin MaskLizalfos MaskMoblin MaskLynel Mask

Bokoblin Mask:
All the above mask can be acquired off of the Fang and Bone merchant Kilton. To acquire Kilton as a merchant the player must first locate him on skull island's left eye at nighttime. Please see our side-quest section more detail. Once you acquire Kilton some of his stock may not be present. He will increase in stock with every dungeon that Link conquers.

Once all dungeons have been conquered his stock will be complete with all of the above masks. You can then purchase them with mon by exchanging your monster parts for it. This mask allows Link to blend in with bokoblin enemies. It also makes a nice imitation stance of bokoblin's for better blending. Later you can ambush them with a giant boomerang or weapon of your choice.

Lizalfos Mask:
This mask can be acquired after completing the first dungeon or possibly the 2nd dungeon of the Four Divine Beast Main quest. Once it is stock Kilton will mention it along with some other new items at his shop of horrors. If you purchase this cool mask you can blend in with Lizalfos. It even has an interesting Lizalfos stance imitation while being worn. While hanging with Lizalfos be careful not to draw or use your weaponry. If you do the native Lizalfos may turn quite hostile on Lizard Link!

Moblin Mask:
This cool looking mask will become available after completing three of the game's main dungeons. Once all three are completed you can return to Kilton and purchse this mask for some mon. The item is rather cool looking and comes with the official awesome moblin stance, this stance will allow Link to blend in with the Moblins and perform a better tactic plan. It is also useful for just avoiding them.

 :::::::::::::::::: LORE :::::::::::::::::::::

Kilton's handmade Moblin headgear. It's designed to replicate the Moblin's distinct long nose and large horn. Equip it to blend in with Moblins.

Lynel Mask:
Figured this would be my current favorite, it looks awesome has the best stance in my opinion and is the hardest one too acquire. It also makes me want even more masks from Kilton's shop in the future, or at least even more Kilton accessory items. Well, good thing we have the DLC coming soon with more cool stuff like this! This mask will let you blend in with Lynel enemies but not for very long. It is more novelty than anything in this case, but is still a major edition too any pro players gallery of equipment. Cool final side-note, is that all of the masks make different sound effects while walking. Try them all out it's a nice cute touch to add too the game.

Key Items:

Sheikah SlateKorok SeedsSpirit OrbsParaglider

The Sheikah Slate is probably the most important or useful item in the game. It allows Link to do almost everything! Some cooler features are that you can even upgrade it a bit later on in the game with some ancient materials. Once completed you can target many items in the game and track down there locations.

Korok Seeds are used to upgrade your inventory slots, specifically your shields, bows, and weapons. Give them to Hetsu when you first see him along the road to Kakariko. Later you can find him at the second stable area you will most likely come across. It is right next to one of the shrines. Finally he will apparently be at the Korok Forest after that.

Spirit Orbs: These are found only after completing a shrine and for every four of them Link collects he can upgrade his stamina vessel or heart meter. You must pray at a statue of the Goddess. Statues of the Goddess are found in several towns and other locations in the game.

Paraglider: This is probably the most useful item in the game. You can acquire it from the old man after completing the first four shrines in the Great Plateau. Some things you may not know is that even when taking a hasty potion your paragliding speed will increase for that amount. Also the direction of the wind is a factor when paragliding as are updrafts that are created by fire for an example.
