Nintendo’s E3 2010 Conference Could Be Better

Monday, February 15th, 2010

NGamer, a British gaming magazine, has stated on their Twitter that Nintendo’s 2010 E3 conference could possibly be better than the other two combined. Whether or not it’s true, it leaves Nintendo fan giddy and excited for what may happen this year. With games like Super Mario Galaxy 2, Metroid: Other M, a new Zelda, and other games it may very well be better than the last two years E3 conferences. However, NGamer is known to also tease fans with false information, such as Sonic being in Super Mario Galaxy 2.

Will it be true that we may finally see an impressive E3 this year? Or will it be yet another bummer?

Reggie Fils-Aime says: The Next Zelda Wii Game Will be Perfect

Saturday, January 16th, 2010

According to a news article I found on Sickr and from there 1up.com, Reggie Fils-Aime says the next Zelda Wii game will not be released until it is “perfect”. According to his words, Shigeru Miyamoto and Eiji Aonuma have said they will not release Zelda Wii until it is perfect, as that is what the fans are expecting. On the subject on when the game will be released, Reggie Fils-Aime had no comment about it. Although other sources have indeed said that a 2010 release was the intended goal, but we’ll never know if it will be indeed the release date for Zelda Wii until the creators have said it’s “perfect” for release.

Artist's rendition of the Legend of Zelda
An Artists Rendition of what the next Zelda game should look like.

Recently, IGN has interviewed Eiji Aonuma about the next Zelda game, Zelda Wii, and surprisingly, Eiji has spilled a few things about it, mostly that this Zelda will be possibly different than any other Zelda we know.

Included with this is the fact that MotionPlus, that seemingly almost unknown thing we know now will in fact be in this game, and it will take the controls of the Wiimote to a new level. MotionPlus will allow you to control Link’s sword or other weaponry precisely, unlike in Twilight Princess where you were subjected to somewhat clunky controls on the Wii version of the game. So the harder you swing the remote, possibly the more damage you can make, or even go ahead and make Link do a special taunt?

As well the traditional “go through field, head into dungeon, and go to the field” will be altered, but it nothing much has been said.

Zelda Wii will be fully released coming the next E3 convention in 2010, so we can expect to see some interesting plots or twists to the Zelda that may change the Zelda we all know.
