According to a news post on My Nintendo News (which got it from Edge Online), Nintendo’s United Kingdom marketing boss, Cammie Dunaway, has said that there will be no Wii successor coming anytime soon. That means we will be having the same old Wii for awhile yet.

“I don’t think it will be any time soon,” Dunaway told GameSpot in a video interview. “Even though our installed base is, at this point, five million households larger than the PS2 was at the same point in its lifecycle, it still has a lot of room to grow.

“That being said, part of Nintendo’s heritage is to always be looking at innovation and to start working on the next hardware as soon as we launch a platform, so we’ll have it ready when we think the time is right.”
