Zelda Informer, one of our affiliates, posted a news post earlier today dealing with more information about Zelda Wii which has been leaked. However, these are still bound to be rumors and nothing is for certain and we will only know once the game is revealed, if it is at all… However, their source, 2ch, has, as they say on Zelda Informer, “a history of nailing many rumors right on the head”.

Here are currently what the rumors are:

Link will be replacing the bow and arrow with a crossbow.
Game is all but finished. Putting on final touches.
There will be a playable demo at E3.
Time travel does occur and it happens through the use of a new blade. (not the Master Sword)
Link’s hometown is much bigger than in previous titles.
There will be several “Majora’s Mask” esque sidequests.
Character interaction will be more involving than in any previous title.
The dungeon field dungeon method is changed, and one of the changes confirms a straight dungeon to dungeon portion of the game.
The current name of the girl in the picture is Adelle.
Combat is extremely fluent and innovative. No previous Wii title can give you a good example of it’s unique style.
The game relies heavily on sword combat versus other items.
There will be less items, but they will be used more frequently.
There will be another main weapon added for an alternative combat style.
The game will feature significant portions of flight.

I am more interested in the following:

Link will be replacing the bow and arrow with a crossbow.

At point 1, I would like to know if the Crossbow would be indeed different and would it work with MotionPlus? Point 2, would this method of teleporting back and forth through time be like Ocarina of Time or more like Oracle of Ages? Point 3 makes me interested on how the combat is… And is it really that good? Point 4 is that the game heavily relies on sword combat… How would these battles be? Would Link be able to drop his sword if struck?

I hope that all of you are as excited as I am… 20 or less days until E3 2010!

What's the exact date for E3 again?

June 15th I think for Nintendo's media conference.

Link will be replacing the bow and arrow with a crossbow. (Bah, humbug!)
Time travel does occur and it happens through the use of a new blade. (My skeptical side is feeling skeptical.)
Link’s hometown is much bigger than in previous titles. (Cool beans if they do it right.)
There will be several “Majora’s Mask” esque sidequests. (I can see this going somewhere good.)
The current name of the girl in the picture is Adelle. (...Lame.)
Combat is extremely fluent and innovative. No previous Wii title can give you a good example of it’s unique style. (We'll see about that.)
The game relies heavily on sword combat versus other items. (Dammit! I was hoping it'd go the other way around...)
There will be another main weapon added for an alternative combat style. (Could be interesting.)
The game will feature significant portions of flight. (As could this.)

1: Yes, it would work somehow. Don't question technology. D<

2: I have a feeling it wont for an odd unknown reason. I think it'll be different. Definitely NOT like TP's "Time Traveling" to the Temple of Time.

3: Well, the WiiMotion Plus would help in terms of combat. I don't know.

4: I really doubt "heavily" is the word.

This has got to be fake. D: No, but it seems like Nintendo listens. If this is real, Nintendo just shoved everything we wanted into one game!

Flight, more use of some weapons, etc. And they added some more: second main weapon, crossbow, fluent combat, sword vs. something other than sword.

I hope this is true.
