View Full Version : An interesting theory: The FS and the MS are one and the same.

This theory only has some backing, and that's only if you believe in the
MC-FS-FSA-OoT timeline order. This theory completely revolves around the prior timeline, so don't use that to disprove it, alright?

As we all know, the FS was forged by Link when he took the four Crystalline Elements and fused them with the Picori Blade, allowing it to split Link into four and giving itself the power to slay evil. Then he sealed Vaati in it. This caused the sword to lose its control over the split (due to Vaati's evil pervading it during the seal) and completely split Link into four sperate beings. When Vaati is sealed again, the sword loses some more power, causing the split Links to be completely reliant on the original (I've only done 1P mode, so I'm not sure how multiplayer plays out, but this theory will assume that 1P mode is the real story). When Ganon was sealed in it at the end of FSA, the already weakend FS lost its power to split things into four, but kept its power to slay evil. Because the MS is just a holy blade without any other powers, it can't really be weakened anymore than it is. Of course, there is only one major problem with my theory: What happened to Ganon when the MS was drawn in OoT? Well I have 3 possibilities that could work for this: 1) He died sometime during the sealing, 2) When the sword was drawn, he sensed Ganondorf and became one with him in order to strengthen himself (which also explains the beast form), or 3) When the MS was drawn and the SR was opened, Ganon invaded the SR, eventually making it the Dark World (the SW would then be OoT and Ganondorf being sealed in the SR would refer to his death, while the LttP Ganon was the one really sealed in the SR).

And for those of you wondering what hapeened to the FS Sanctuary and how it got moved to the ToT, I believe they're the same structures (on the neutral timeline and CT only, of course), because of their similar placements in Hyrule and their similar jobs.

I know that this theory is overly complicated, stretches what we know about the series alot, and overly reliant on the timeline, but I think it's an interesting theory.

Thank you in advance for considering my theory and telling me your opinions on it.
