This has been really annoying for the past couple days. When I make a post that's clearly more than the 35-character minimum requirement, and then try to post it, the forum insists it's less than 35 characters. I've had to needlessly make some posts longer.

Are you sure it's over 35 characters?
We put the thing up for a reason. You can blame the children posting one to three words down.
I'll lift it for now to see how it goes, but if we catch anyone making one to three words, we're infracting you, even if the limits not up. Whine and ***** if you want, but if you don't like our rules, tough. =\

You know, I say that if that setting is causing problems to those who are following the rule, just leave the setting off. If someone's going to break the rules, it really doesn't make a difference if the setting's there or not. It's so simple to bypass that it makes no difference to someone who doesn't respect the rules, they're just going to find a way around it anyways. if it causes others problems, it's probably better to just not be there.

FOR THE HORDE!!! :rage:
But still, I follow this rule, and it isn't so hard to follow it. All you have to do is show that your intelligent and post more than one to three words.

I think several average sentences is more than 35 characters. XD
I even did a count to make sure. My posts have been well over just 35 characters.

There was a javascript counter you could have used to check it. Blah.
I was getting annoyed of it anyways. I'll just infract people.

It's "Warning, Warning, Infract." Like in my case, two warnings. Next is an infraction.

:rage: < WTf is that? xD
Back on topic, I'm kinda happy to hear that thing lifted. It was annoying and sometimes I had to post nonsense words or act stupid because I couldn't think of more too say. Mmm lifted. :gwah

...whot
Now lifted, eh? Aw, well; I don't think I would've noticed anyway... It's not in my forum-posting nature to make sentences less than 35 words. :P
(Hopefully this little "experiment" works out, though.)

Lifted?
NOPE, tried posting the above post and it said it had to be 15 characters. But i'll still be looking for breakers.

Well If I put it at 1 there will be more spamming. And the standard on Vbulletin was 10 characters, so I made it 15.
