Cody from Zelda Universe brings interesting points and such in this article and he feels voice acting (I mean REAL VOICE ACTING) should be given a chance.
What do you guys think and feel about this and Cody's article?

Personally, i'd say no. Link has never had a voice, so why change the way things have been. Plus, could you imagine what it would be like if he did have a voice? Who would do his voice really, not sure who i'd like to see.

I'm saying around maybe a no or yes. But maybe no... with a prime example of Final Fantasy they would have to lip sync everything for each language. =\ Final Fantasy X-2 which I played, their mouths were not in sync with their voices.

Not to mention Nintendo is just...terrible in the VA department. Grunts and little catch-phrases like what Mario and Link already say is one thing. But full-on VAing? Go play Mario Sunshine again, and listen real closely to Bowser and Bowser Jr. I know I don't want that in my Zelda games.

Eh, no voice acting. I really don't like voice acting at all in Nintendo games. Even if Link does get Voice acting, there will always be some group of people who will completely hate the game, and never buy it.

Eh, I say Link shouldn't have any speech. The way I see it, he can't speak and have his personality stay his. It also helps you feel like you're playing Link more when he can't speak and potentially say something you disagree with, which would throw you off.
I don't like the idea of voice acting that much either. It just doesn't seem like it'd fit in a Legend of Zelda game.

people will always complain about voice acting regardless of how good or bad its done. Personally it would be a nice change to see it happen, and its not like people where against Mario haveing a voice actor in Mario 64, so why should Link be any different?

I say what if he had a voice, but you still had to select what he was to do? Example:
"Will you go to Kakariko Village to retrieve a tool for me?"
[Yes]
> [No]
"Sorry. But I'm busy."
"Alright, Link. Not an issue."
Or:
"Will you go to Kakariko Village to retrieve a tool for me?"
> [Yes]
[No]
"Yes I will. I have time to."
"Ah good Link. Just find the tool and I'll give you a special item as your reward."
I don't see it as an issue if you still have the ability to choose what to say. For example, when Link tells Bo where the children are, he only simply nods his head. It would be more emotional and better if Link could speak... In my opinion.
And as for a good voice actor, I vote for Dan Green to do it. He does voices from Yu-gi-oh! (Pharoah Atem... aka Yami Yugi), Pokemon (Mewtwo and Lugia), Sonic (Knuckles and Mephiles if I recall right) and other things, and he's a damn good voice actor since you get all the emotions he conveys from his characters.

lol Im actualy thiinking (honestly) that if Link where to have a voice actor it would be Johnny Yong Bosch, the voice actor who has done Ichigo in Bleach, Vash in Trigun, and several other animes in the past few years.

Well whatever voice actor is good. I hear Dan Green a lot and I think he's a good voice actor. Haven't heard much of Johnny Yong Bosch.

I really like the idea of Link possibly having a voice actor, but... Wouldn't that mess up the game if you had your name, instead of Link's? I always name my main character Link, so that wouldn't be a problem. But I know some people change his name to their name, or possibly their initials or whatever. Unless the people making the game were psychic or something, I highly doubt they'd be able to figure out the names gamers use for Link. :p

No. I think you maybe you could name the file that, but it's still Link. Sorta of like Mario Party 3 where you can name a file, but Mario is still Mario and Luigi is still Luigi. I like it to be Link anyways. You're still him, even if your name isn't there.

If they keep his Japanese voice actor, then yes!! But if not, then NO!
I played games where they change the voice acting from Japanese, to English and I dislike it very much.
Example:
Ike in brawl.. I loved the Japanese actor's voice, but for the one who did the English voice acting. I dislike it very much.

I would welcome the idea of a speaking Link but some wouldn't. There is this song on YouTube made by Machinima or some site like that. Some commented and one said that a speaking Link offends him. The song is "The Legend of Cool". It features Link from OoT but only the OoT quest. You should check it out. But one thing is, Link talks in Phantom Hourglass at the very end. After the credits, there is like a what happens next thing. Link say "Oh" and "Hey".
text to speech robots never hurt.

How about no. Link talks SOME, alright? Like in WW, you can sort of make out "Come on!" in the Tower of Gods when you're getting the statues to follow you. I like the noises he makes, makes him unique.
I don't want some moron voicing link. :/

Honestly, no. I like Link being the silent hero. He's not even a character, technically. Both Shiggy and Aonuma have said on multiple occasions that he's a personification of the player.
Besides, given a voice actor, it'll turn Link into some cliche character, or a badly designed one. By badly designed, I mean something like Mario. Don't get me wrong, I love Mario, but he's goofy as hell. I couldn't take Link seriously. Or he can get some anime-type voice, and he either becomes a cliche'd main hero that gives the boring speeches and ****, or your emo sword badass cliche person.
Keep Link...as me, the player. Not as a character. No voices.
